Unforseen Love

Chapter 22

I wake up in what looks like a cell as I glance around. I have a pounding headache and my entire body hurts. The memories from yesterday still haunt me and as I look down, I see several of the cuts on my arms that haven't healed yet due to the silver. It also doesn't help that I haven't ate since yesterday and I'm freezing as I sit on the cold hard floor.

Luna... Are you there..?  I ask through our bond which felt quite weak.

No response. Still, I couldn't feel her presence.

As my thoughts overcome me, I begin crying, hoping that I'd be saved soon. About an hour into my crying--I assume it was an hour--I hear a voice call out.

"Ashley?" I instantly recognized it as Austin.

"A-Austin.. Is that y-you..?" I stutter as I'm shivering now.

"Yea. Are you okay?" He asks.

"N-No.." I reply as tears fill my eyes.

"What happened?"

"I'd rather not talk about it right now.." I say and just as I finish the door to my cell opens and guess who is standing there, you guessed right, it was Belle. She literally grabs my foot and drags me out of the cell towards another room. I scream as loud as I can and begin thrashing around as I try and get out of her hold. I can hear Austin trying to get out of whatever room he was thrown into.

Belle drops me in some random room with padded walls, floor and ceiling. I knew this room was meant to kill me because as soon as she shut the door, I felt weaker than I did when I woke up. I knew I most likely wasn't going to make it, but I called out to Alex once more. Alex.. Please get here soon.. I love you.. I don't know if I'm going to make it. I manage to say to him before passing out.

**Alex's POV**

I ran as fast as I could as I followed her scent. It led me to an abandoned building that resembled what Ashley had told me. I hear a thought in my head, faint, but I could tell it was her. Alex.. Please get here soon.. I love you.. I don't know if I'm going to make it.

I rush inside and yell out. "Ashley?!" I scream.

"Alexander! Over here!" I hear a yell and know it's Austin. I rush over and open the cell door he was trying to bust open. "Follow me. I know where she is."

I immediately listen as he leads me to a room and as I look inside through the bars in the door, I see the padded walls and then on the floor, I see Ashley and she didn't look well. I pull the door off it's hinges, breaking the lock as I rush to her side. She was cold and her pulse was slower than it should be. I pick her up and run as fast as I can to the pack house and to the pack doctor.

"Brynn! I need you! It's Ashley!" I yell out and Brynn is here in a matter of seconds. She immediately takes her off to a room and I don't bother getting upset with her because I knew she was going to help her. Now I'll find Austin and see what happened.

I go downstairs and Austin is just standing there. "Hey. What happened back at that place?" I ask kind of forcefully.

"We went to search for Belle. Turns out she's not my mate, but a shapeshifter. I have no idea what happened with Ashley though. I woke up in some cell and called out to her, but all I could hear were muffled voices and some screaming. And then today she was in the cell next to me, but then Belle came and opened the door to her cell and literally drug her out and to that padded room. Weird thing is, I couldn't feel my panther, Shadow's presence." He finishes and I process all of that information in a matter of seconds.

"And Belle? Where is she?"

"I dunno, she could be anywhere. I think she ran off as soon as you guys came in though, so I think she's going to torture other people."

I nod. "Alexander! Get up here!" I hear Brynn yell and I run back upstairs.

"What?! Is she okay?!" I ask, frantic.

"She's going to be fine. Her condition isn't the best, though. She has cuts all over her body which will take a while to heal since they were done with silver. She also hasn't eaten in a while and I suggest once she wakes up and can leave to get her something to eat. Her head is also slightly bruised and she's been through quite a bit in the past day which may have traumatized her, but other than that, she's perfectly fine. She awake now if you'd like to see her."

After she said that, I rushed into room and Ashely lay there all bandaged up. "I love you so much." I said and kissed her, careful not to hurt her.

"I love you too." She smiled and I didn't realize how much I missed her until that moment and I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.

"Will you marry me?" I ask, looking into her beautiful blue eyes and take out the ring my mother had given me and told me to give to my mate.

**Ashley's POV**

As soon as he said that my smile got wider. "Oh my gosh! This is really happening!" I squealed. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" I scream and he puts the ring on my ring finger. "Wait, can I leave?"

"Yes, she can leave." I see the doctor say as she passes by the room. I get up and jump into his arms, flinching as it hurt.

"Lets go tell everyone!" I shout and I was off down the stairs going to announce to everyone that Alex and I were engaged.
