WARNING THIS IS A SAD IMAGINE IsilwenofRivendell

You were not expecting to go on an adventure with 13 dwarves, a hobbit and a wizard. Fate had decided however, you would be a great asset on the journey.
It took some time for you to believe that yourself, but the dwarves and the wizard had warmed up to you quite quickly, and Bilbo became one of your closest friends.... but the dwarves could see you wanted more.
They would tease you about it, but you had threatened to cut off their beards, should the even utter a sentence of your undying affection.
Your feelings for the young hobbit had began when you were all captured by the trolls. Whether it was his wit and intellect or how brace he was, you never thought of him the same since.
You would constantly, CONSTANTLY think about him, and when he smiled, you got so nervous that you felt a sensation of dizziness and glee combined.

You were, undoubtedly, unexpectedly, wholeheartedly in love with Bilbo Baggins.

And he still had no idea.

You tried to work up the courage to tell him, you really did, but when you looked at his eyes, you felt so nervous that you could throw up, and decided against it. You would rather have his friendship than never being able to have his company ever again.
It took quite some time, but you grew used to it.

Little did you know, that by the time they had reached the mountain, Bilbo had felt exactly like you did, too afraid to face your rejection. He was worried however, with the upcoming battle, that there would never be a time to tell you. And that's what scared him the most.

Time skip brought to you by Thrandy hip swivel

It was during the battle. You stood in all your glory with your battle armor on and twin swords in both hands. You were fighting off Bolg, his strength was getting to you, for you had been battling for quite awhile and your strength was weening. He moved his weapon too fast for you as it impaled your abdomen causing you to gasp in pain. You quietly fell to your knees as you laid in the ground in shock.

Bilbo let out a pain filled cry as he rushed to your aid, coming face to face with Bolg. He was going to be finished, had Legolas not shown up and killed Bolg himself.

"Please! There must be something you can do!" Bilbo cried as he held your figure

Legolas looked down in true sorrow " I am sorry my friend... She only has moments to live." He then placed a gentle kiss on your forehead.

"Farewell Y/N. What grace has offered me, may it go unto you."

"Farewell Mellon." You whispered tearfully as Bilbo soothed you.

"Shh shh it's going to be alright. Your going to live, the eagles will come, they will take you to Rivendell and-"

"Bilbo." You whispered

He turned toward you "Yes?"

"There is something I must tell you." You spoke hoarsely.

"And I you." He spoke hastily. "Ever since that night by the troll cave, I have started to care for you. And when we got to the mountain I finally figured out why."

Your heart was beating faster inside your chest, knowing that this was the moment of truth.

Bilbo breathed nervously, his cheeks warming up despite the cold weather, his hands clammy. "I love you. I can't believe I didn't have the courage to tell you, but I love you, and I'm so sorry for not telling you earlier."

You smiled as best you could. You had never been so happy before, even if you were on your death bed. "I love you too."

"Really?"  He asked as you nodded.

A moment o silence passed, the pain getting worse in your chest, your heart straining, but if you were to die, you were gonna enjoy these last moments with the one you loved.

"What do you think it would've been like if we lived together?" You asked quietly.

"Well," Bilbo spoke "we would have lived in my home-"

"Where the grass is green?"

He laughed lightly "yes, and you would wear a crown of flowers on your head every day if you wished."

"And the food?" You coughed a bit

"Oh yes we will have lots of food, carrots, fruit, potatoes-"

"And you'll grow that seed from Beorns garden." You smiled your voice getting weaker.

"I swear it. I'll tell stories of our adventures, and we will read there every day. " Bilbo spoke hastily, you clutching on with everything you've got.

"I hope to have this come true when I see you again... I just have one last request." Your voice barely above a whisper.

"Anything darling."

"Kiss me." You said as you felt lips soft as butterflies land on your mouth. Your heart was full, and now it was over flowing.

"Goodbye my love." You whispered as you faded from the world.

The end.
