Honor to Us All: Mulan x LOTR

Mulan sat in a rocking chair with her swollen belly. She would be expecting her baby soon, and she was excited. She turned to her left and saw the new journal that she had bought at the market yesterday.  Mulan intended on writing about her journey with this child, so what better time to start than now. With Li Shang being overprotective, she had nothing better to do.

What would she write about? What would be her first story? What if she wrote about girl things and it ended up being a boy?

Mulan thought in the silence of her own home. Suddenly, she knew what she would write about.

Honor. Honor to the family could apply to both genders. She quickly began to write.

Hello my love,
Since this is my first entry, I thought I would begin with a story. You are going to be a child for some time, so I expect there to be many stories in the future. This one in particular will be about honor. By now you have heard of my heroic story on how I went to war for our country. But this story isn't told to everyone.

When you are reading this journal, I assume you are older, and about to make a choice for your life. Back when I was in your shoes, the only way to bring honor to the family was to have the men go to war, and the women get married. That still goes on today, but I want you to know that there are different ways to bring honor to the family, which you will see within the story.

THREE. YEARS AGO

Mulan checked her locket that Gandalf had given her. You see, Gandalf was familiar in traveling to different dimensions. She had met him during the war. Because he saved her life, Mulan was willing to help with whatever she could.

"Mulan?" Li Shang asked. "What's the matter?"

Mulan sighed,  she hadn't told her boyfriend that she was needed by Gandalf.

"Gandalf will be coming here soon. He has requested my presence on his realm."

"No! That's too dangerous!" Li Shang exclaimed.

Mulan gave a simple smile before touching his shoulder. "You forget love that I saved our country. Besides, time is different in their world. I'll be back in time for our date tonight."

Li Shang nodded. He didn't like the fact that she was leaving all by herself to a new realm. "Why must you go on so many adventures?"

"Hey! You knew how adventurous I was when you asked me out." Mulan teased while pecking his cheek.

Suddenly, Gandalf appeared, and Mulan was gone in a flash. Li Shang stood silent, but he felt a glimmer of hope inside him as he held the beautiful ring within his pocket.

In Middle Earth, they were in Rivendell. Mulan was in awe of the splendor of the kingdom. She met the nine members of the company, and spent an entire month helping people train and prepare for the journey.

"Let's get down to business! To defeat the Huns." Mulan hummed.

"What song is that?" Aragorn asked.

"Oh it's a song from my kingdom in which our army sings to prepare for war."

"We should make our own version." Pippin said with a grin.

There was an awkward silence and Pippin was sure they we're going to reject his idea.

"Let's get down to business! To defeat Sauron!" Aragorn sang with a grin.

"Did they send me daughters when I asked for sons." Boromir chimed in.

"Your the bravest Fellowship I've ever met, But you can bet before we're through, Mister I'll make a warrior out of you." Mulan sang with a grin.
