For the lovely AllisonTart

News had spread that there was to be a council in your homeland- Rivendell. Quickly, you followed Arwen to your bedroom to get ready.

"There will be many people that come, maybe even suitors." She said. "I've got my eyes on Aragorn. "

You faked a smile, but your heart skipped a beat. "It is his decision who he chooses to court and marry."

Arwen nodded and continued to talk, but the words meant nothing, you were too busy worrying about what Arwen just said. The horn trumpeted, and Arwen smiled before rushing out.

"Are you coming?" She asked with excitement.

"I'll be there momentarily." You say before turning back towards the mirror.

You quickly smoothed your dress, and went to find your father.

"Ah! Y/N! How lovely for you to join us." Ada said as he beckoned you to join the conference. Across the way, Aragorn couldn't take his eyes off you. The way that the sun shone on your beautiful hair, and the sparkles in your dress looked like diamonds.

"This is Aragorn," Elrond said with a smile.

"It is a pleasure to meet you my lady." He said while kissing your hand.

"Likewise Aragorn." You said with a smile.

The next week, when you weren't discussing the ring, you were off training or spending time with the hobbits. As of now, you were at the fencing area.

"Care to duel my lady?" Aragorn asked with a soft smile

You nodded before concentrating on the task before you. You wanted so badly to impress Aragorn-

"Gotcha!" He said while pinning you against the tree "what are you going to do now?"

You quickly kicked him the shin, and sent his sword flying in the air.

"I think the tables have turned." You spoke with a smirk.

Aragorn gave a smile before walking towards you. However, the bell signaled the beginning of the last council.

"We should get going." You say softly as you place the sword in the scabbard

"I suppose we shall." He said with disappointment.

Was he diss appointed to leave you? Your mind wandered as the two of you walked in silence.

Next to you Aragorn's heart was pounding. He was standing next to the most beautiful woman in the world and he didn't have the guts to confess.

When the meeting came to the close, Frodo agreed to take the ring, and you instantly agreed to accompany him along with several others.

Once the gathering dispersed, Aragorn asked for a moment of your time.

"What's wrong?" You asked

"You can't join." Aragorn said plainly. "It's too dangerous."

"Aragorn I've faced danger before. I'll be fine." You dismissed

"I for-"

"Are you forbidding me to go?" You raised your eyebrows in defiance "Aragorn, you are not my husband nor my betrothed. I will do as I please." You said with annoyance. You were annoyed that you fell for the charm. All men were the same, and it angered you to think that you would get to be with someone different.

"You're angry with me." Aragorn stated in shock

"No!" You said sarcastically, "I'm just apparently in one of my moods that is just unreasonable."

"Y/N-"

"Save it Aragorn, I thought you were different." You grumbled, feeling more humiliated by the second

"Tell me what I'm doing wrong!" He shouted as he followed you.

"I thought you were different." You whispered

"How?" He said while standing closer

"Most men that wish to marry me are chivalrous at the beginning, once they get to know me, they treat me like a piece of meat." You say "I've been fortunate enough to recognize the signals before entering a relationship with them.

"Y/N, I am sorry, I would never hurt you intentionally as that. You are everything and I wish for you to stay alive, and stay with me when this is all over." Aragorn stuttered "I care for you deeply, and you are the only treasure I care for." At that moment, he held a beautiful necklace that had your favorite gem.

You smiled from ear to ear, and the two of you hugged each other tightly.

An acorn fell on Aragon's head and he groaned once he saw Legolas

"Is it done? Is it secure?" Legolas asked

"Is what secure?" You asked with a smile

"Your marriage of course!" He grinned as you and Aragorn laughed.

"I'm sure it will be, I have faith it will be much different than the usual." You smiled.

And the two of you lived happily ever after
