"Rhadagast! What on earth are you doing here?" Gandalf asked with surprise.

"I was looking for you Gandalf. I found something." Rhadgast said nervously, and began to tell his tale.

"The sword that was buried long ago." You whispered.

"I'm afraid there are much bigger plans with Sauron than we realized.... a Great Evil will be approaching..."

"What kind of evil?" You asked, not really sure what kind of enemy they were talking about.

Before Gandalf could respond, a howl ripped through the air, which caused Thorin to stiffen. The dwarves hollered to signal their distress when fighting the warg.

"Warg scouts! Which means an orc pack is not far behind." Thorin shouted.

"Who have you told about your quest?" Gandalf demanded.

"I swear I haven't told anyone besides my kin-" Thorin protested.

"We need to get out of here we are wasting time." You interjected. "If we can make a break for a place of hiding, we can regroup."

"For once I agree with her." Thorin spoke quickly while leading the group in the other direction. You stayed in the back for Bilbo was right in front of you. Bilbo was one of your closest friends and you would protect him with your life.

The chase was exhausting, you had never ran harder in your life. However, if you didn't keep up the pace you would surely die. Finally, you were able to catch your breath as you hid behind the rock in which the warg stood on top of.

Thorin nodded to Kili to shoot the warg, but you shook your head frantically as to say, No! Don't do that!

Unfortunately, the dwarf did not take your advice, and caused the pack to turn and run towards the company.

"Run!" Gandalf spoke, leading the group to a clearing.

"Idiots." You mumbled while picking up the pace once more.

The dwarves found themselves in a clearing with Gandalf no where to be seen. Quickly, you pulled out your bow and arrows, and began to shoot them along side Kili.

"Y/N! Kili! Come on!" Gandalf yelled.

When you turned around, all of the dwarves were no longer fighting in the clearing. Instead, they were disappearing into the cave. You saw the wargs running towards you and ran with Kili on your heels. Quickly, the two of you jumped into the cave.

"That was too close-" Fili began, until the company heard the horns you knew would bring so many arguments.

"Elves." Thorin growled.

"Come, let's follow the path, yes?" Bofur asked.

The group nodded in agreement and followed Bofur until there was a large opening.

"Rivendell." You and Bilbo spoke quietly, taking in the splendor of the land.

"This was your plan? To lead us to the elves and ask for help! I will not-"

"We need it Thorin." Gandalf reasoned. "We need food, rest, and supplies that they can give us."

"Fine." Thorin grumbled. "We leave in a day. "

You slightly smiled as you saw Gandalf roll his eyes in disbelief.

"Well Y/N?" Balin asked "What can you tell us about these lands?"

"I don't know, I didn't even grow up in my homeland. I grew up in a small village of men....I'm not even familiar with elvish customs."

Thorin's eyes softened towards you as he nodded in approval of your answer.
The walk was short, and you soon found yourself face to face with Lindir.
