"So what do you think about people named Brenda?" The interviewer asked. Yes, she was serious.
"Uhhhh..." Ed said, laughing. "I guess....they-they sound smart." He chuckled.

Ed walked through the front door smiling and laughing a little bit.
"Oh, love, I have something to tell you about the interview." He laughed.
He hung up his jacket and put his car keys in the dish. He started up the stairs.
"They were asking the funniest questions and...I think they were serious!" He opened the bedroom door.
"They asked me what I thought about people named Bren..." He stopped as he scanned the room.
"Liza?" He asked looking around again.
He stopped when he heard a gasp in the bathroom. Hasty shuffling followed.
"Liza..." Ed raised his voice worried, quickly jogging over to the bathroom door.
He paused, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath before turning the handle.
When he walked in, he didn't know what to do. What he saw before him was something no one should ever have to see. Liza looked up at him, completely broken; tears streaked down her face. She was sitting on the floor, her arms next to her, wrists facing up. They were completely shredded apart and pools of blood were pouring from them onto the tile.
"Oh my god Liza." Ed whispered staring at her in utter disbelief.
She started to cry even harder and held her face in her hands.
"No, no, no baby it's alright." He said rushing to her and pulling her into him.
He didn't know what to do.
"Why did you do this?" He asked in complete terror looking into her eyes.
"I..." Liza started, barely able to choke out her words, "I'm just so ugly and worthless. I don't fit in and...and I don't deserve you."
"No! Liza no!" Ed shook her shoulders. "Liza look at me. You are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. You're amazing in every single way and I don't deserve you."
Ed grabbed her and pulled her into him where she cried for many minutes. When she was finally done, she pulled back and Ed lifted her chin to meet his eyes.
"I...I don't know what to say." He whispered. "Why don't you sit up here." He grabbed her waist and lifted her up to the bathroom counter.
He fumbled with the drawers until he found a clean cloth.
"This may sting a little, love." He said, running the water from the sink and soaking the cloth.
He pressed it to her wrists gently, cleaning her up.
She flinched and tensed up. She stayed like this until he was done.
"There. All better. Now why don't you lie down while I clean the tiles, yeah?" He said smiling simpetheticlly.
Liza shook her head.
"Why....what's wrong love?"
"I want to stay with you, Teddy." She whispered.
"Ok...alright." He said touching her cheek.
He cleaned the floor and glanced up at Liza very frequently, but her gaze never rose from the floor.
When he was done he picked her up and put her in bed.
"I thought I fixed you." Ed said worriedly.
"I...I'm sorry." Liza whispered.
He laid down next to her.
"Can you pinky promise me you'll never do it again?"
Liza hesitated.
She held up her hand and they shook pinkys.
She rolled over to face him. She looked up at his beautiful blue eyes and kissed him.
"I love you Teddy."
"I love you too Liza."
