"Malia, my love, I have an essay due in two days and I haven't even written the title."

Here they were. Two girls, bored, slightly sleep deprived from previous hardworking nights, chilling on one of the two twin beds in desperate search of something to do. Of course, the strawberry blonde suggested watching an ongoing series they happened to be suggested with, but the chestnut hair colored girl shot that down with a sigh, already doing that every night of the week. As much as she loved hanging out with her best friend, repeating the same lethargic actions and calling it a night was not going to do it tonight. Tonight was going to be exceptionally different, and the mindset she was currently in was going to make that happen.

That's when Malia suggested going to a party that some of the frat houses normally hold. Although, there was one house that threw one once a month and was supposedly killer and absolutely phenomenal. After talking with friends and finding out about this mysterious wild fraternity house, Malia had begun to feel curious and took the opportunity to find out when this house was going to host their next party. Coincidentally, that happened to be tonight, and it was the night where they found themselves bored and glum about not having anything to do. Well, now they did.

Only con was that Malia knew Lydia wasn't the biggest fan of parties like Malia was. Of course, she normally went to them and had fun, but not as frequent as Malia would. Lydia found a solace in faint music and studying by the window in their dorm room, yet, when there was the occasional mention of a gathering with friends, she found herself wanting to go. But now, now, it was different. They were already halfway through their sophomore year and Lydia found the work beginning to progressively get harder. More quizzes and research paper overflowed her schedule, and she arrived to parties less frequently and didn't leave the dorm room as much as she used to. Her priorities were straight, Malia had to give that to her, but she deserved a break just like everyone else. Plus, this was a once-a-month type of opportunity, and she was not waiting another month to dread in agony about this supposed killer party.

"Lydia, hon," pleaded Malia, "you deserve a break, alright? C'mon! Let's dance! Drink! Kiss a guy! Or girl, honestly, I'm up for anything tonight." The brunette laughed and took the other girl's hands with desperation.

That got Lydia to crack a smile. "I want to, you know that, but Professor Reid is expecting this formatting to be done by tonight and I barely-"

Malia groaned dramatically and knelt in front of her friend, who had gotten up in the midst of the conversation to pace around. "Please, you'll be done with that essay in an hour. Not even. You're the smartest person I know, and this stupid essay can wait a night." Her pleading brown eyes bored into emerald ones, and she couldn't help but think of Malia as a doe, a beautiful and innocent doe.

"I hate you for being convincing."

Malia lit up. "So you'll go?"

"Yes," she said instantly. But right after she followed with "No." And then she moaned in desperation. "I don't know, Mal! God, I want to so bad, but...but this is super important..."

The taller girl bit her lip and inched closer to Lydia's face tauntingly, and her voice was low and dipped down an octave. "What if I told you that this is the Alpha's party?"

Lydia's eyes lit up, bright viridescent bulbs blinking back at her with utter surprise and admiration. "The-the Alpha's are hosting this party? You mean them?"

Malia nodded with a smirk, standing up and putting her hands on her hips smugly.

The strawberry blonde exhaled with an exasperated sigh. "Alright, alright, I'm in."
