'you shouldn't involve yourself with people like that you know' James said after a while, 'people like what?' she asked already irritated by the answer that was yet to come 'People like Snivellus-, Snape. They are bad news' Peter said and she looked at them in disbelieve. 'Look I can clearly see that there is a feud between Gryffindor and Slytherin, but I am not willing to treat people differently or bad because of other people's opinions. He could've scolded me or anything for knocking him over, but he didn't, so there was no reason to treat him anything other than nicely' she lectured the boys who looked impressed by her clear opinion.

'Selena is right guys, we should not try to push our opinion on her' Remus backed her up as they walked to the Charms class and she smiled at him gratefully.

Selena walked into the classroom, took place in one of the front seats and heard the boys sigh behind her, Remus sat next to her and Peter, James and Sirius took place on the desk behind them.

A rather short man walked into the classroom and stopped when Selena caught his eye, 'Good morning, you must be miss Ochoa. I am professor Filius Flitwick, Welcome to Hogwarts and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask' he said kindly before he walked to his desk and started the class.

Charms class was not a problem for Selena, most of the things she learned at her old school or from her parents at home.

The next lesson was History of Magic, this was the one Selena was most worried about and it was easy to see 'not looking forward to History of Magic ?' James asked her as he was walking next to her, 'Not really, for starters I find it rather boring and second of all it is all theoretical stuff, so with a lot of English terms which I might not be familiar with' she admitted 'Don't worry about it Lena. I don't like the subject either, but just write down the things you don't get and me or the others will explain it to you' he said nicely.

Selena took place on one of the front row tables behind Lily and Marlene and once again Remus sat next to her, when she looked up front getting her stuff out of her bag there was a ghost floating in front of the class. 'no way, that's the teacher?' she asked in disbelieve, 'yes that is professor Binns, but don't get your hopes up it's not as cool as you might think' Remus warned her and she looked at him in disbelieve. 'how can a ghost teacher not be cool?' Selena asked, but soon afterwards she found out and she was not happy.

She tried to make as much notes about the goblin rebellions as possible and wrote all the words she didn't get down on a different sheet, but still she was struggling to pay attention. Behind her she saw Sirius asleep and James nodding of, Marlene in front of her was already asleep and Lily seemed to struggle with keeping her eyes open. 'You were so right' she whispered to Remus, 'A lot of people just sleep in this class' he whispered back 'I can get that' Selena Said whilst yawning.

The two hours passed by slowly, but both Remus and Selena managed to stay awake and when the class was over Selena woke up Lily and Marlene, Remus did the same to his friends. 'You are joining us for lunch right?' Lily asked, 'oh yeah sure' Selena replied and she grabbed her bag, before waving at the boys and heading out with Lily and Marlene.

'Heard what happened with Sev' Lily started,'Sev?' Selena asked confused, 'Severus, you stood up for him towards Potter and his friends. He told me and I overheard you do it again later' Lily explained herself and Selena shrugged her shoulders 'What I said to the guys earlier is exactly how I feel about it. He was being polite to me so there is no reason to be mean to him' she stated.

'Not a lot of people would do that you know; standing up for someone they don't even know towards their new friends. What if they didn't accept it?' Lily asked en Selena smiled 'Well the answer to that is rather simple; I wouldn't want to be friends with people who-' Selena started but was cut of, 'everybody is entitled to their own opinion. We may not agree with hers, but we do accept it Evans' Sirius stated seemingly proud of his mature comment.

The guys sat down next to Lily, Marlene and Selena, the girls did not seem very fond of it but accepted the for Selena's sake.
