Chapter 20

When the two lovebirds turned around in shock the found Lily standing at the bottom of the staircase with a smile on her face that shouldn't be humanly possible, she reminded both of them of the Cheshire cat from the muggle story Alice in wonderland.
'I knew it and it's amazing you two are so perfect together!' she squealed, 'Lil please' Selena tried to calm her down, 'No and the best part is that I get to stick it to those gits that I won the bet' she said jumping up and down 'I can't wait to stick it to Potter and-' 'whoah, wait, what bet' Remus asked. 'Potter, Black and Pettigrew made a bet about how long it would take before the two of you would become a couple, Marlene and I joined this afternoon' Lily explained, 'What was the longest one of you said?' Selena asked her friend 'four weeks' Lily answered and Selena smiled.

After they made Lily promises she wouldn't tell anyone they left for the courtyard. 'What took you so long?' James asked, 'I couldn't decide which book I wanted' Selena said and Sirius snickered 'it wasn't on the top shelf now was it', Sirius got blasted of the bench.
Selena glared at him 'consider this a warning, next time I will end you', Remus smiled proudly at his girlfriend and James just shook his head.

While Remus and Selena were reading the others caused minor trouble as usual, they didn't even bother to look up until Selena heard the boys call out 'Snivellus!' and Selena stood op quickly 'come on guys just leave him alone' she said standing in front of them. 'Lena...' Sirius began but Selena used her irresistible puppy eyes and the boys let out a sigh 'just this once' James spoke while ruffling her hair, this caused Remus to look up and glare at James.

Severus heard the horrible nickname and saw Selena rushing towards her friends to stop them from doing anything, he took the opportunity to leave for the dungeons 'she has her guard dogs trained well' he heard Lucius say behind him.
'I don't get why she is always with those idiots. She can do so much better and she seems quite fond of you Severus' Lucius continued, Severus did not reply and kept on walking 'she would be a great addition to the army you know. She wraps everybody around her little finger'

Selena returned to her book and started reading like nothing ever happened, Remus placed his head on her lap and continued reading while his girlfriend was playing absentmindedly with his hair.
Everything felt so natural between the two, that was went it hit Selena, she jumped up causing Remus to fall on the ground and let out a yell. 'I'm sorry, I completely forgot something' she said while rushing off, James, Sirius and Peter looked at their friend on the floor 'what was that?' Peter asked and Remus shook his head 'I have no clue'.

Selena rushed to the library only to find that the book she needed was lend out, she decided to go to someone who might know the answer: Albus Dumbledore.
She barged into his office and was greeted with a kind smile 'I was expecting you' the man simply stated, 'I must say that your presence seems to effect mister Lupin in a very positive way, was it the same with his transformation?' he asked and Selena shook her head 'I was not present at the transformation, but after the transformation everything was fine. He does need to learn to take care of his wolf form' she answered.

'But I recon you did not come here just to tell me that' the headmaster said knowingly 'No I did not professor. I actually have a rather awkward question, but I couldn't think of anyone whom might be able to answer this but you' Selena said uncomfortable, 'Well than, what is your question Selena' Dumbledore spoke kindly and Selena took a deep breath not believing that we was about to ask the headmaster of her school the following 'is it possible that Remus and I are soulmates?' she asked quickly.
