Chapter 10

'Okay, cut the crap what is wrong with you?' she asked slightly irritated, the boys looked shocked at her outburst and were looking at each other for help, but none of them answered.

'Why are you all acting so strange?' Selena asked even more irritated than before, the boys looked taken back from the outburst of the short Spanish girl and James cleared his throat 'we are just very tired, because of Peter his snoring' he said, Selena was not happy with the lie but didn't say anything since she was withholding  the truth as well.
Remus was glad that his friend came up with an excuse but he felt terrible for lying and Selena's sceptic look did not make him feel any better, but she shrugged it off, opened her book and didn't say anything.

'So you guys ready for care of magical creatures?' James asked the group as their free period nearly ended, 'Yes, I've been looking forward to this class so much!' Selena exclaimed happily while clapping her hands and the boys looked at her questioning 'I guess I just really like magical creatures' Selena said a bit embarrassed and James and Sirius nudged Remus playful at her comment.

Together they walked to the edge of the forest where the teacher was already waiting for them. 'Good afternoon class, Welcome back! the upcoming weeks we will be studying Porlocks. This will be tricky class, Porlocks are no social creatures, the hide away at the sight of humans.' the teacher spoke.

The class followed the professor and walked into a field with high grass, Selena was slacking behind while looking for the Porlocks, which was not an easy task since the grass was almost as high as she was tall, but the hairy creatures seemed to have found her first. Remus looked behind him and saw Selena surrounded by Porlocks, Remus was not the only one to spot the girl 'Well in all my years of teaching I've never seen such a thing' he heard the professor whisper besides him.

The moment Remus and the professor took a few steps closer the Porlocks all scurried away, all except one. The smallest one hid underneath Selena's cloak, Selena looked up and saw two people look at her in disbelieve, she flashed them an innocent smile.

She picked up the small Porlock and cradled it in her arms, the creature started purring and the professor shook her head 'impossible' she muttered, Selena put down the small creature and it ran back to the others.

'Miss Ochoa, a word please' the teacher said and Selena walked towards them 'What just happened there?' she asked the girl, 'Well eh- they kind of surrounded me and well I didn't want to be rude and tell them to go away and eh' she muttered uncomfortable. 'tell them to go away?' the professor asked getting more confused by the minute, 'eh well, maybe professor Dumbledore can explain the situation to you' Selena said and the professor agreed.

'So what happened there?' Remus asked Selena walking back towards the castle, 'Well remember how I said that I really liked magical creatures? The feeling has so far always been mutual' Selena answered the boy right before the others joined them.

They went to Transfiguration and after the class McGonnagal handed Selena and letter that told her to go to the headmasters office and the password for it. 'What did you do Lena? Only the second day of classes and you are already called to the headmasters office' Sirius joked, 'Maybe he just wants to know how I'm holding up with you guys around me all the time, I mean McGonnagal didn't seem to believe I was around you out of free will' She teased them a bit, 'Do you want me to walk you to his office?' Remus offered, 'No thank you Rem, I've been there before. You guys go ahead to lunch I will see you later in the great hall' she said before walking off and the others behind him started laughing, 'A bit too eager there Moony' James laughed while Remus send him an angry look.
