Gone

It was a complete chaos in Berk, why you ask? Hiccup is missing and they searched the entire island. Hiccup however isn't planning to come back anytime soon, never in his opinion, he keeps flying at full speed and he sighs, he was getting hungry "We can't stop anywhere in the area can we?" he asks and Toothless shoots a fireball to light up the path and they see no islands nearby "Guess not" Hiccup says and he keeps flying. "Do you think he left?" Astrid asks looking at Stoick "Why would he leave? He did so good" he asks and Astrid sighs, she had seen Hiccup become friends with a dragon "We should look for him" she says and Stoick says "He couldn't have gone far since none of the boats are missing".

Four days went by and Hiccup was getting tired of flying around, he needed a place where he could get a good nights rest, he sees an island in the distance and Toothless flies over there and they land "Loser!" a boy says and the two see a dragon fly overhead "I'm only getting started" a girl calls and another dragon flies overhead "What's your name son?" a man asks and Hiccup is surprised to see a viking accompanied by a dragon "My name is Hiccup" he says and he adds "And this is Toothless". The two he saw earlier fly passed again, but stop seeing the new boy and they fly a bit lower "Another Night Fury?" the boy asks and the girl says "Weren't we practicing? We're gonna beat you!", the two head off again and Hiccup asks "Practicing?" "For the race that's starting in a few hours, they always end in a tie, come on, let's get you and your dragon something to eat". They see the two pass by a few more times and then they land "That made me hungry" the boy says earning an elbow in the ribbs "Come on slowpoke" she says and runs of to a small outdoors cafe with the boy following "There are quite a few kids on this island" the man says and he chuckles "Those energetic two are always seen together, they're best friends and rivals". At the cafe a man says "Hey Chief, your daughter just ran off that way when the dragons ran off again" "Again?" the chief asks and he adds "Anyway, give this young man and his dragon something to eat" "Right away" he man says heading inside.

The race soon comes around and Hiccup is pulled towards the place by the chief and they see the dragons ready "Sit down" the chief says and the start sign is given and the white dragons speed off instantly "And our two champions are in the lead, Elena is gaining in on Drake, without her night fury I might add" "She has a night fury?" Hiccup asks earning a nod "It got injured, so she can't use it in the race, so she went with her other dragon" the chief says "And Elena got first place and is rapidly approaching the rings of fire, will this dragon be able to do this?".

Elena looks behind her and then at the obstacle in front of her, she didn't have time to train her dragon with the fire rings "Go for it girl, show them what you got" she whispers and lays down on her stomach as the dragon passes the first fire ring "And Drake is closing in again, but they're quickly approaching the dive "Go" Elena says and her dragon shoots straight down "Are you stupid?!" Drake asks and Elena smirks "No, just getting my lost speed back" she says and her dragon easily goes through the ring before flying on "And they're still close to each other, but they're reaching the hardest part of the race, who will fail this time" "Wait fail?" Hiccup asks and the chief says "Yes, that's the hardest part of the race, those pillars are really unstable. Everyone stops cheering as the rest arrives at that point as well, seeing as the other two slowed down a little "So, should this end as a draw again?" Elena asks as her dragon dodges a falling rock "Maybe" Drake says and the two shoot ahead again, their dragons barely dodging some rocks falling down "Their speed is making the area more dangerous" Hiccup says seeing one of the pillars ahead threatening to fall down so he quickly gets on Toothless and he says "Be right back", he flies off quickly and goes directly to the stone pillar, which falls down just as the two are about to pass it, but Elena's dragon starts to panic and flies back a bit "Oh come on!" Elena says and Hiccup flies next to her "Wanna switch?" he asks and Elena shrugs before jumping over to Toothless and Hiccup says "I'll bring her to safety". Elena looks at Toothless and says "Okay there buddy, time to make up for lost time", Toothless flies off at top speed swiftly dodging everything and Drake says "That's cheating" "Nothing in the rules about switching dragon being cheating" Elena says and Toothless, who apparently wants to win cause he's bored flies faster easily getting out of the dangerous area and he crosses the finish line before coming to a stop "And this years winner is Elena!" the chief announces and Elena hugs Toothless "Teach Midnight how to fly like that will you?" she asks the dragon who growls softly in agreement.

After some discussions it's decided that Hiccup stays with the blacksmith and his son Drake "So you and Elena?" Hiccup asks "We're best friends, she's cute and all, but watch out, she's competitive" Drake says and he looks outside "We should get some sleep, it's late" he adds and Hiccup follows him "Sorry about you having to share your room with me" he says as Toothless follows close behind "Don't worry about it". That night however Hiccup is woken up by a whimper that sounds like it came from a dragon, he sees a few dragons outside flying towards a cave quickly, including the white dragons that were in the race, he would ask about that in the morning.
