"Hold on, it has been three years already?" Elena asks looking at her mother, who's holding her baby sister "Yes and since you're-" "Did ya hear that? Seems like Drake needs help" Elena says and she speeds out of her house "Drake please need help" she says arriving at the blacksmith "I do actually, I got Terror mail from Astrid, they want to know how you're doing, but we ran out of Terrors, so..." "You need someone to deliver your letter?" she asks earning a nod "Your sword, I tweaked it a bit" "Thanks-" "Astrid mentioned something about Whispering Death trouble" Drake says, so Elena gets on Midnight and flies off "You little guy, are showing me the way" she says taking the Terrible Terror from her lap and she follows it.

The welcome she gets is expected and totally normal "Well look at that, they used my idea" she says, she scans the island and sighs seeing an explosion "Let's go Midnight" she says so her dragon flies towards it, under the cover of darkness "Hiccup!" Astrid yells before a second explosion is heard "Astrid get out" Hiccup says, the third blast is blocked and Astrid is surprised to see the Night Fury wings covering her "Thanks bud" Hiccup says "Elena what a surprise" he adds seeing who saved Astrid, Elena's new outfit consists of a black studded skirt, black undershirt and dark brown leather jacket, her previous long hair is cut shorter until it's just under her shoulders as well "What happened to your hair?" Astrid asks getting up "Skrill" Elena says "Anyway according to Drake we ran out of Terrors, I think he was lying, but here's your letter" "You're chieftess, they just let you go?" "No, but mom thinks that since I'm now nearly 18 she should start bothering me, so I asked if Drake needed help and here I am. Away from my mother and her undivided attention to my sister". Hiccup is surprised, but he's not the only one "And look who got a lot taller, geez, you're half a head taller than me" Elena says crossing her arms "Y-you're welcome to stay here" he says "And what's with the dark clothes?" "Blends in better with the shadows, my boots are dark brown too", Midnight's growl reminds them of the wild dragon and the two Night Furies start firing "What's the deal with that thing?" "It showed up a few days ago and won't leave" Astrid explains, Hiccup uses his shield to block a stray blast and he gets blown backwards "We should go" Elena says running over to help him up "Stormfly get the other Nadders" Astrid says following her friends example "Is that Gronckle iron?" "Elena, we need to get him out of here" "Right".

Astrid gives Elena a tour of the Edge and she smiles "You know, he missed you, a lot" "He did?", Astrid starts laughing "Well let's just say that he kept bothering Stoick about visiting, he's been too busy since we've been here" "I see" Elena mumbles "So since I'll be staying here" "You'll need a hut" Astrid finishes "For now you can sleep in mine, I don't mind sharing" "We should check on Hiccup though, before we get some sleep". The next morning the other riders are all confused "Are we seeing double?" Ruffnut asks "I don't think so" Fishlegs says "Unless Toothless got smaller" "Okay can someone please explain this?" Snotlout asks as Hiccup and Astrid walk in "That's easy" Astrid says "While you guys were sleeping, Hiccup and I found that Whispering Death again, but we got some help", as if on que Elena walks in and she walks over to the two furies "Had a nice sleep girl?" she asks "Elena? But you're chieftess" Fishlegs says earning a sigh "Yes, but I'm sure my mother can handle it for a while, besides, she was getting on my nerves saying 'It's about time you start looking for a suitable guy Elena, for the future of our tribe' and that sort of thing" "I'm a suitable-" "Snotlout don't even say it" Elena cuts him off "The problem is, she wants me to find someone as soon as I turn eighteen" "But you already got someone in mind?" Tuffnut asks earning a nod "Where my father was... well chief, my mother wants it to be someone from our tribe" "That aside, we found another dragon hunting ship, we're going to take it down" Hiccup says "Some say they stole a Razor whip egg from one of the islands, among other dragons" "Hiccup I hate to break it to you, but I think you should start looking for a second dragon" Astrid says "Probably a good idea" he says "The twins, Snotlout, Astrid and Fishlegs will handle the ship" "What about you two?" "Our dragons ran off to play" Elena says "You know, it's gonna be weird flying another dragon than Midnight" she says "Guess we'll join you once our dragons are done playing around" Hiccup says and the others fly off "Astrid already gave me a tour" Elena says once they arrive at an empty space "I'm looking for a good place to put your hut" he says earning a smile "That's so sweet, but we should find our dragons, call it a gut feeling, but I think the others will need our help" "You're right, we'll figure this out later" he says and he calls Toothless "Another idea you stole from me" she says when the two dragons fly over "Let's go" "Why is Midnight wearing armor made from scales?" "Oh, mom's dragon left scales everywhere".

They arrive and see the others are in trouble "Stay behind Midnight" she says earning a nod "Night Fury!" someone yells and Midnight dives towards the rain of arrows, Toothless following behind, making sure to stay out of sight "Wait..." Astrid says and the two dragons split up, each firing on the ship and they don't know where to aim "Shoot them both!" someone yells, but he's given a warning shot, Hiccup flying low to free the dragons "Got her" someone says, but Elena grins holding the arrow in her hand and Hiccup tosses her the shield and she shoots the arrow back after catching it "Two night furies?" someone asks and Elena stands up taking some arrows from her back "Steady girl" she whispers "Elena watch out!" Hiccup says pulling her down when a Razor whip is firing at them, but the others are free "We got everything we came for" Astrid says "Including the egg, let's go" she adds so the group flies off, heading back to the Edge. "The hell was that?!" Elena asks inspecting Midnight for injuries "That was Heather" Astrid says making the chieftess groan in annoyance "A warning would've been nice" "True, but seeing Hiccup safe you was also very interesting" the blonde points out, only to be met with a glare "I'm sending Drake a Terror mail, anything I can add for you?" "Hm... Tell him I went on a much needed vacation and that he should visit you sometimes" Elena says walking off. "That damn Whispering Death" Snotlout says when shaking wakes everyone "I thought it left" Fishlegs says "It's tearing through the mountain and it's angry" Tuffnut says "Well that helps a lot" Hiccup says "It'll be morning soon, so let's all return to our huts and get some more sleep" "As long as it-" "Ruff do not finish that sentence" Elena cuts off "I should keep extra watch, just in case" and with that she flies off towards the mountain at the edge of the island "I got an idea, tell Drake we need a tame Whispering Death" Hiccup says "Oh boy" Astrid says "That's the last of him we'll see for a week".
