Viggo's attack

"We're under attack!" Fishlegs yells, he's really the only one that's panicking about the fact Viggo has ships heading straight towards the Edge "I don't really see the problem" Elena says "He has nothing to look for here" Hiccup says crossing his arms "Did we call all the backup?" Astrid asks "We did, surprisingly" Snotlout says "Stoick may be here on time, but don't count on Elena's backup, I think Drake was getting eel pox cure ingredients" Heather says making Astrid glare at her "Heather, do not read the letters dropped on her bed" Elena says "I know how Drake is when he really really likes someone, just don't read them unless Astrid gives it to you". Fishlegs pokes Hiccup "He's scanning the Edge" he says "Alright gang, to your hiding places, you almost done?" Hiccup asks "Just about" Elena says "I need my tools" "Okay split up, but keep an eye on them" he says. Viggo sees absolutely no one "Don't fire yet, it'd be a waste if they're not there, we will walk through their base slowly" he says, Elena joins Hiccup in her sleeping area "Object planted, it looks like you were inspecting it" she says "And this time it is an exact replica of the real one", the storage door is locked and they watch Viggo go through their base at a slow pace with his sword drawn "I told my dad I needed some people to watch the Edge for a few days, same thing you told Drake" "Yeah, but if he's looking for eel pox cure ingredients, he probably won't come" she mumbles "Let's hope they arrive quickly" she adds. Viggo is taking his time in Hiccup's hut, inspecting the fake Dragon Eye "I thought they destroyed it" he says "It could be a trap" Ryker says "Why else would they leave it unguarded?" "Maybe they were in a hurry" "Could be, but it's too quiet". Viggo has to agree on that, but he simply can't find anyone "What brings you here?" Stoick asks narrowing his eyes "Wasn't cutting of the trade route to Berk good enough? Now you're at the Edge while they're gone?" "Gone?" Viggo asks "Yes, I got a letter asking if I can watch the Edge" Stoick says "So get off before I make you" "That's fine, I got what I need anyway" he says "Fire at will" he says getting back on his ship. The first few rocks his nothing, but the second wave hits the dome "That's too close for comfort" Hiccup says, considering Elena's hut entrance is next to it "The wall will hold, right?" Elena asks "Meatlug rammed it, even a quaken hit it" Hiccup says "It's your entrance I'm worried about, that rocks weaker than the walls" "And if it does, I'm afraid that part of the place will come down" Elena says, the next rock hits the wall and Hiccup hugs Elena closely "Midnight, open the door" she says seeing the next rock heading straight towards it, but the Night Fury isn't quick enough and she gets knocked out "That's it" Elena says jumping down and she pets her dragon as she moves the boulder "Midnight" she mumbles earning a soft purr "Elena incoming!" Hiccup says, but Skullcrusher break the rock before it can get close before sending a warning flare up in the sky. The sound of a Skrill arriving has never been a more comforting sound to Hiccup's ears and he watches Drake blast the first ship "Toothless, help me move her" Elena says "That's Berk's backup" Astrid says entering the room as more ships go up in flames "I need to borrow Toothless" Elena says "By all means go ahead" Hiccup says "Just don't- and she's gone, get everyone to the dome!".

"Where's Midnight?" Drake asks "Got hit with a boulder trying to open the door on time" Elena answers "We might need more distance" she adds so the two fly in opposite directions while also flying down "Now Toothless/Bolt" they says and the shots hit each other right above Viggo's ship, but Drake's dragon is hit with a net and he falls down, so Toothless shoots down picking up the net so Drake can fly off again "You know..." Elena says "You'd think they would try to leave and flee now". "Maybe they are waiting for others to show up?" Drake asks after they landed "Probably think it's a trap" "Or testing the dragon eye, he's in for a surprise". Viggo does leave eventually and Stoick looks at Hiccup "So if he doesn't have the dragon eye, what is it?" "A replica, which according to Elena, shows animal facts depending on the lens" "Yeah, Thunderdrum lens, give fun frog facts" Elena says "Gronckle gets you moles" "Sounds very hilarious" Stoick says "No serious damage to the base" Astrid says "Besides my door" Elena says with a pout "I'll fix that within a week, until then, you gotta share, or do it without door" "Astrid is already sharing with Heather, Snotlout has dragged Dagur to his hut" Fishlegs says "She can stay with me" Hiccup says "Midnight is fine" Drake says earning a sigh "Well I guess that's over" he says "Thanks by the way, if you hadn't send that I would be home, handing out eel pox cure" he adds "It's no problem really, trouble finds us most of the time" Elena says with a smile "I would love to stay, but your mother isn't doing a very good job at leading the village" he says making her groan in annoyance "Do you want us to come with you?" Astrid asks making Elena nod "Yeah, in case he comes back to see everyone here, Stoick, can you handle protecting the Edge?" "Of course" he says "Can Midnight fly?" Hiccup asks "Probably" Drake says "Although- never mind, Bolt will carry Midnight". Hiccup sighs seeing Elena sitting on Toothless "Lead the way" Heather says. Drake wasn't kidding when he said it was going horrible "Okay one at the time!" Elena yells "Our weapons haven't been tested yet" a man says "Which ones? Small or big?" "Well..." he trails of earning a sigh "Astrid, Snotlout, please go test the sword, axes and the like. Ruff, Tuff, test our big weapons" Elena says so they head off "Our farms are drying out" "Fishlegs, Heather, if you please". Elena walks to the blacksmith where Drake and his father are "Lass I have never been happier to see you" the blacksmith says, but the young chieftess is not happy, especially since she sees her little sister there "Where is she?" she asks "I don't know lassie, we haven't seen her in a while" "Hiccup come on, we should check where she is" "Right" he says. First they check Elena'a house, which is empty, afterwards they check the watch tower "E-elena, what a surprise" the former chieftess says "You are an idiot!" Elena yells "I know you're still greatly weakened from that damn dragon, but you were chieftess, you should be able to lead the village" "Elena calm down" Hiccup says "I tried, but they just don't listen" she says "No they won't if you hide here" Elena says, maybe she could put Drake in charge instead "Also-" "Don't wanna hear it, you do not put a three year old in the care of a busy blacksmith! You do not abandon your village!" Hiccup is quiet at that, he hadn't seen an outburst that bad since she yelled at her father three years ago on Berk "Just go home so I can fix the damage" "Elena wasn't that too harsh?" Hiccup asks when they're alone "I already feel like a failure as a chieftess Hiccup, I don't need this on top of it" "You were forced into a position you weren't ready for" he says putting his hands on her shoulders "You never got to be a kid anymore either" he adds earning a sigh "I just need a vacation, but I can't leave the former chieftess in charge and Drake is busy at the blacksmith "You could ask him" Hiccup says resting his head against hers "You'll work it out, you always do" "Hey Hiccup, can I ask you something?" "What is it?" "Why are you so supportive and protective off me? We didn't see each other for three years, than I intrude on your island and you're letting me stay" "Because", his face goes red and he sighs "I can't explain it in words, I just can't", but Drake has to ruin the moment "So... you yelled at her and now she's sulking" he says "Come on dad made dinner" "We're coming" Elena says getting back on Midnight "Did I just interrupt something?" he asks, but Hiccup says "Not at all, let's go", but Drake isn't stupid and he sighs, knowing Astrid wouldn't be happy to hear that.
