Chapter 21: Finally

Luke sighed as he was looking at the ground, sitting on the bed "Uh...so, when I came to visit you, the Doctor told me to help take off you hoodie so you can cool down. So, I did, and I found something that I feel like I'm not supposed to see."

"Like..?" I whispered as I was walking up to him, not able to use my voice cause I'm terrified on how he's gonna respond. I don't know if he'll say I'm stupid like the last guy, but I know he'll start treating me different after finding out.

"Well," he took my hand that haves the scares, "I came in there, and I wanted us to be a lone for a while so the guys left me alone with you. I took this hand," He held it up, and then he cupped his cheek with my hand, "Did this, and this," He kissed the palm of my hand, "And you already know what I'm about to bring up.." He turning my hand, revealing the scares, "this."

"God..." I groaned, and said, "I'm sorry.."

"Why didn't you tell me? Obviously you told Ashton, but not me?"

"Ashton told you that he knows?!" I put my hand down, and Luke nodded, "Yeah cause I asked him about it since he spent some time with you for the last couple of days. I had a feeling he knows something I don't know since he got closer to you faster than me."

"Luke, I wanted to-"

"I don't get it, Lani. You trust Ashton with these kinds of stuff but you can't even tell me about the personal side of you?! I mean, I had to literally beg for you to talk to me about these kinds of things, but Ashton didn't even have to try. It just happened." Luke's voice became all shaky, "Now I feel like total SHIT because I ignored you for so long, and made you feel crappy. I feel like this happened because of me.." Then all of the sudden, I see a tear fall of Luke's cheek, "It was so easy for Ashton, but difficult for me. I don't know if I should feel angry because we're supposed to be best friends or fucking miserable because I'm the reason why this happened." Okay, now he's tearing up really bad.

"Jesus, Luke." I groaned and took my hand to make him face me, "I didn't tell Ashton. He-"

"Then how does he know?" Luke cut me off and I covered his mouth, frustrated that he keeps doing that to me, saying, "Cut me off one more time, Hemmings and I swear I'll rip that lip piercing off."

His eyes widened and nodded. I sighed, "Good," and took a breathe, "Ashton found out when I stupidly forgot to put my sleeves down to cover them up one morning. He saw them and nearly freaked out. I didn't want to tell you because..." I paused, and took a deep breathe, "Because the last person I told about this was my ex boyfriend, and he literally called me stupid and weak and treated me all different. He started to feel guilty for me, and treated me as if I gone completely depressed which wasn't entirely true, but I was sad about the break up. Anyways, yes, I used to cut myself, but I stopped before this trip because I promised my step brother, and Jenna that I would stop. Then Ashton found out, and I personally promised you guys that I would stop but obviously, I broke it."

"But why?" He wiped at tear away from his cheek, "Why would you hurt yourself now after a while?"

"Because I felt like you gave up on me.." I let out, and his face fell, "I felt like you gave up on me and felt like I was too much for you. Remember when I said that you'll loose interest me once you know that twisted part of me?"

He nodded, and I continued, "Yeah, I thought that happened..."

"But it's not true, Lani." He put his hand top of mine that was on his cheek, "I never lost interest in you."

I rolled my eyes, "Well, I know that NOW." And smiled, "But it's over now."

He smiled, "I'm sorry that this happened, Malulani."
