Luke POV:

It's been two days since we last talked. I'm currently at a party with a couple of my friends and Vanessa.

"Luke, are you okay?" My friend Vanessa chuckled, and I shrugged, "Just thinking."

"Is it about your girlfriend again?"

I nodded, "Yeah, she hasn't been texting me."

Ever since the fight, I've been trying to reach out to her. God, why did I have to say that to her? Of coarse she couldn't say no to that guy. It was a flash mob. I just hate it that she can't make time for me but I honestly understand why she's been busy. I mean, ever since she came back to school, she would tell me all the friends she's been making and that everything is finally better at school. I'm happy for her, but it sucks that she got asked. She's my girl. I'm supposed to be that guy to ask her, but no, I'm here in Australia.

"That's what you get for bringing up that Ian dude." Vanessa nudged me, "And never explained to her about me."

"I never got the chance." I scoffed, and she rolled her eyes at me, "Luke, you had time. You just thought it wouldn't get to Lani so bad and won't assume that your cheating because she loves you and trust you and she knows that you love her so she shouldn't be worried about anything. "

"How-"

"Because it's common guy knowledge, and Greg does it all the time."

Yes, Vanessa haves a boyfriend. Greg. The guy who barged in that one time Lani and I were webcamming and brought up Vanessa. Greg is a guy that I met through a family friend, and we became friends. He wanted to take Calum and me out to the movies with a bunch of other people and Vanessa, but Calum couldn't make it and I wanted to stay home but my mom thought it would be fun so I had to go. We had to wait for Vanessa because her brother would drive us.

"Look Luke, even though you remind Lani that you love her and everything, once there's a girl brought up in a conversation that Lani is not familiar with, it would kind of bother her if you don't explain who she is. I mean, I bet Lani is not that type of girl that gets jealous, but it's probably nerve racking for her because you're in Australia and she's in California. She's probably scared right now that there's a girl in Luke Hemmings life that she never heard about and Luke Hemmings never explained who this mystery girl is."

"What about her and Ian then?" I stopped Vanessa, "She never told me about him and she said herself that no one would ask her."

"That's because of you, Luke! She thought no one would ask because she haves no one in mind other then you! Honestly, if that Ian guy didn't ask in a showy way, and just did a small bouquet of roses, she would probably say no, but she had to say yes!" Vanessa stood up, "BECAUSE the guy practically forced her to say yes! Luke, you know Lani better than I do, but I know the fact that I would never blame Lani for saying yes for something that she couldn't turn down, and I would be mad at you too if I was in Lani's place."

I covered my face, completely frustrated. Vanessa does have a point.

Vanessa sat back down next to me, "Lani probably needs her space so if I were you, give that to her, and wait till she's ready."

I nodded, remembering back when I told her that I would wait till she's ready to talk, "Yeah, you're right."

The next day, I woke up to a ring, and I see a text from Lani.

"YES." I cheered, my heart literally skipping a beat as I grabbed my phone.

When I opened up the message, it was a video.

A girl with curly hair showed up and she smiled, "Hi Luke Hemmings. You probably don't know me but heard of me. I'm Natalie, a fellow friend of Lani, and right now, we are currently looking for a prom dress. Since you two are going through a tough time right now, I'll send you what dress she picks so you wouldn't miss out. Stay tuned, Luke."
