P.o.v of Asriel

'What was that about?' Asriel thought as he walked out of the classroom, confused about Brittney's behavior; she had just run out of the classroom when the bell rang like she had fire on her heels. "I wonder why she ran out like that..." Sam said, voicing his thought as she walked out behind him; they both volunteered to stay behind and wash dishes after they contacted their respective parents to let them know that they would be late coming home. "I know right? She was angry at first at me for a reason I don't even know what I did to piss her off, and the next she was being nicer to me than I have ever seen her" Asriel replied, giving some information about her behavior as they both ascended the stairs.

Asriel looked at her when he saw a look cross her face, one that said that she knew why, but was unsure of either or not she should tell him. "What is the reason, Sam?" Asriel asked, wanting to know the reason behind her strange behavior. "Well, from the past history I have seen Brittney react around the guys, she always hated the players; you know, the ones that use females like they are toys" Sam explained at Asriel's lost look. Nodding in understanding, Asriel rounded the corner with Sam, only to be tackled by a blue/white mass.

"You creep! Stay away from Brittney the perv!" the glaceon growled; it took Asriel a second, but he recognized him as Frost. "What did he do?" Sam asked the glaceon, her tone defensive for her friend. "He was practically drooling over Brittney during class today, that's what!" Frost snarled, glaring ice picks into Asriels eyes. "What are you talking about? I never did, nor would I do such a thing!" Asriel argued, offended that the Ice-type would accuse his character like that. "Yeah! He is a gentlemon, unlike you. He would never look at a female like that; trust me, I speak from experience. He only spoke and looked at her with respect" Sam fired back, the truth singing in her voice. "Well, that certainly was not what Brittney told me! She said that the Lucario here was violating her with his eyes!" Frost countered, stunning Sam, though nowhere near as much as Asriel. "SHE SAID WHAT?!?" they both yelled, one more angry than the other.

Frost seemed to hesitate for a second as he looked into Asriels eyes and saw the truth in them, as well as the shock and hurt. "Oh, you are telling the truth..." Frost murmured, looking down at the floor with embarrassment and shame at what he just said. "You can bet your ass he is! Why would he ever do such a thing? Besides, he is way too innocent to ever even look at a female like that" Sam informed the glaceon, her face heating up slightly: Asriel knew the reason why.

-flashback four years ago-

Asriel had just stepped out of the shower at Sam's house, dressed in his usual pajamas of basketball shorts and a white t-shirt, his feet surrounded by black socks. With his dirty clothes under one arm, he dried off his head fur as he made his way to Sam's room, the one that both he and Sam were sharing for the sleepover. Stopping outside the door, he listened for the kitchen and heard two voices talking and heard what he believed to be Sam's voice is one of them. Opening the door, he walked in only to be frozen in his tracks by the sight of a very naked Sam, she able to quickly cover herself, but not quick enough as Asriel had already seen all of her. Closing his eyes, he looked down at the floor and braced himself for her to scream; he was shocked at what happened instead. "Asriel, please step outside so I can change" he heard Sam say. Nodding, Asriel left the room, saying that he was sorry with every leap he took, quickly shutting the door behind him.

-end flashback-

"Look, I am sorry about what I said. I should have asked you about it rather than accusing you flat out from the beginning" Frost said, apologizing to the Lucario sincerely. "It is fine, but I can't help but wonder why Brittney would lie about something like that" Asriel said, shaking his head slowly. "When she spoke to me, she seemed pretty desperate to get away from you, but for what reason, I am now unsure" Frost replied as he walked with them to the exit of the school building. "Same here" Asriel replied, looking up at the sky in thought.

-P.O.V Brittney-

Brittney was heaving for air by the time she reached her home, silently cursing her ten-pound backpack. When she caught her breath, she fished out her house key from her jacket pocket, unlocking her front door. As she walked into her house, she was unaware of a certain fighting-steel type rounding the corner.

Upon entering her house, Brittney was welcomed by the scent of her favorite food; rice with brown gravy. Smiling widely, she flounced to the kitchen, already tasting her mothers cooking. "Hey, mom wh- wow," Brittney said as she stopped short, eyes wide. All along the countertops were at least twenty dishes, each no doubt freshly made.

A delphox was at the stove stirring a pot before she turned around with a smile. "Welcome home honey! How was your day?" Brittney's mom asked her. "It was fine" Brittney responded as she viewed each dish, a few of them bringing up a faint memory, but she was too distracted to notice it. "There is a sampler plate in the fridge that has your name on it," the delphox said, winking at her offspring with a knowing smile. "Thanks, mom! You're the best!" Brittney declared as she all but tore the fridge open.

"So, who is this Asriel?" the fire-psychic type asked, almost making Brittney drop her plate. "Just a classmate" Brittney responded with a faint blush, getting her mom to laugh as she put the food into the microwave. "Whatever you say sweetie" the delphox laughed as she stirred the rice.

"Hey, Sarah," a deep voice said as another delphox walked into the kitchen, both exchanging a kiss as the microwave beeped. "Hey, Jake" Sarah smiled when they parted, getting a groan out of Brittney as she retrieved her plate from the microwave. "I don't see why you are groaning young lady! You are in love yourself" Sarah smirked at her daughter, causing her yellow fur to turn orange with a blush. "Our little girl has a crush?!? Should I start planning the wedding?" Jake asked in a serious yet playful way. "MOM! DAD! He's just a classmate!" Brittney yelled, embarrassed deeply as she hid her face from the chuckling delphox. "You certainly aren't acting like it" Jake observed, causing Brittney to almost faint when the realization hit.

Ditching her sampler plate, she ran to her room, tears in her eyes; her dad called for her, but she did not hear him. Reaching her room, she slammed the door shut before locking it, diving onto her bed just as she began to sob hysterically. 'Shit; I am in love! WHY?!? He is just a Lucario, a seductive, self-absorbed, honest, handsome, innocent- GODDAMNIT!!' Brittney hiccupped, unable to stop crying. 'why is it I always fall in love with the players?' Brittney thought to herself as she got into a comfortable position, hugging one of her scarlet pillows.

Before she knew it, she had drifted asleep, her subconscious showing a movie of her inner feelings, slowly seeding in its influence into her conscious mind.
