A little love story between Lucario and Braixen

The plans are made

-P.O.V Asriel-

"Yes mom; I do want to ask her to prom, but I need help" Asriel said as he sat in his mothers room, the female looking at him with contemplating eyes. "And exactly what does she mean to you?" she asked as she sat up, her eyes questioning. "She means the world to me; she has brought a new light to my world, mom. She is so... intriguing that I couldn't help but notice her. She has this great personality that just seems to burn brighter than any flame. I like her a lot mom" Asriel explained to her, blushing slightly.

Lisa just smiled at her son, memories coming up about when his father asked her to prom and how he did it. "Do you have any idea on how you want to ask her?" Lisa asked him. "I do actually; I am planning on asking her at night. If I have your permission, I would like to go on a date with her at night, this Friday would be nice. I want to take her to a field and, using aura, write in the night sky 'will you go to prom with me?'. On our date, I will be taking her out to Cheddars to eat and go see City of Bones; learned from some of our friends that she loves the Mortal Instrument series. I will be back around eleven at night" Asriel laid out, telling his mother his plans for the night. Lisa stopped to think in thought about what her son said, thinking it to be a good plan.

"Do you need to go shopping?" Lisa asked her son. "Yes ma'am, though I am going with Brittney to go shopping for prom clothes later on today" Asriel answered, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Okay. I hope you have fun dear; try to be home by 10:30" Lisa told him as she turned back to her computer. "Yes ma'am, and thank you" Asriel answered, giving her a hug before he left her room. Moving to his room, he walked in and began to prepare himself for shopping.

Right as he picked up his wallet, he heard a knock at the door, knowing that it was Brittney. 'Alright, here we go' Asriel thought as he went to the front door, opening it to reveal the braixen. "Hey Asriel; you ready?" Brittney asked him. "Yeah" Asriel said as he closed the door behind him, locking it with his aura before following the casually dressed braixen to her mothers van. "What are you looking for exactly?" Brittney asked him as they both got into the back seat, Sarah starting up van. "Well, I wanted to look for a suit and other fancy clothes; all I have are t-shirts and jeans" Asriel answered. "Not a problem; mom, could you take us to Jib's Dress to Impress?" Brittney asked, startling Asriel. "Wow now; I cant afford his prices" Asriel stuttered out to her; his budget was very limited. "No need to worry Asriel; Jib is a great family friend of ours. Besides, he owes me a favor any way" Sarah replied, smirking evilly at the memory. Still tense, he pressed his back to the seat as he saw something in the front seat. "Wait, what is that?" he asked, pointing at the plastic wrapped item. "NOTHING! Its nothing!" Brittney said, her tone almost panicking as she responded. "Oh...okay" Asriel replied, confused at her behavior to the simple question. "Feel free to help yourselves to the muffins; they are in the back" Sarah told them as she drove, her daughter reaching back for a box, opening it to reveal a dozen oran berry pastries.

-P.O.V Omnipresent-

Asriel and Brittney talked to each other about the dance, vaguely mentioning whom they were going to ask/ who they wanted to be asked by to the other. "I have a plan for the girl I am going to ask; a very special one" Asriel told Brittney, smiling as she asked him what it was. "Sorry, but I can't tell you; I don't want anyone to know about it just yet" Asriel said, laughing at her defeated expression. "Okay" Brittney said as she took a bite out of her muffin.

All through out the day, Brittney and her mom took Asriel through town, getting him more and more clothes, despite all Asriel wanted was a suit and dress pants for the dance. "Come on; I am sure you would want to impress her, do you not?" Sarah would reply at each of his protests. By the time that he got home, Asriel had to make three trips to collect all of the clothes from the van, six new pairs of shoes included. "Thank you again" Asriel told Sarah, bowing to her. "Not a problem Asriel; just make sure you dress to impress" Sarah replied to the lucario. "Yes ma'am; I will!" Asriel replied before he went back to his house smiling.

-P.O.V change Brittney-

"So, what are his plans?" Brittney asked her mom as they walked into their home. "Sorry, but I wont tell you; he asked me in his mind for me not to tell you" Sarah replied as she placed her purse down. "MOM!!" Brittney protested. "Sorry; that's what he wanted" Sarah replied. Sighing to herself, Brittney went to her room to put up her clothes. 'I hope Asriel likes my dress' Brittney thought as she placed it in her closet, hanging up the apparel before leaving for the kitchen to eat dinner.
