Leirsa watched in awe at the miracle happening before Flae, both surprised and impressed. That is going to be one powerful baby Lerisa thought to himself. With a sharp tug in his gut, he sensed imminent danger to his left and was just able to dodge an earth-shattering slam as Shadow's powerful paw connected with the ground, hurting Shadow a little as the solid ground cracked slightly under the force of the blow, bits of sharpnel flying in all directions. "Impressive. I wasn't expecting such acute senses from a small, feeble Pokemon like you." Shadow told the Riolu in both a smug and angered tone.
"Sneaking up on a foe and striking when they don't see you coming? I knew you shadow warriors were cowards, but that's callous on a whole new level,"
Leirsa replied, taking a moment to jump a short distance back. "If your skills are anything like your arrogance, this will be a very interesting battle. Let's see what you've got, little hero," Shadow said, his voice full of scorn as he got into a ready stance, Leirsa reading an attack. Leirsa rushed toward the Zoroark, jumping into the air and readying a punch. As he got close enough to throw it, Shadow reached out and grabbed his arm. He headbutted the Riolu and tossed him away with seeming ease."You're gonna have to better than that."Shadow laughed evilly as Leirsa struggled to his feet, wobbling a little. "Lucky for me, I can do exactly that. Your move," Lerisa said, placing his paws on his hips as he looked at the Zoroark with a very much unimpressed look on his face. Shadow fell for the taunt, missing two consecutive hits the first a kick and the second a punch. As Leirsa dodged the second one, he saw an opportunity. He took one of Shadow's arms, the one that threw the punch and dislocated it with a single swift and fluent motion. Shadow grunted in pain, stumbling back and holding his shoulder.
"You little swine..." Shadow growled as he held his dislocated shoulder. With his other paw, and with a few popping sounds and a wince of pain from the taller Pokemon, he managed to put his shoulder back into place. When he looked back up, however, Leirsa was gone. He scowled, looking for him. "Where'd you get to, you little bastard?" Shadow growled, glaring at his surroundings. He called out for the Riolu, getting no reply. Unknown to him, Leirsa simply lay in waiting.
Shadow. tired of looking for him, found a new target. He approached Zoey, who was too distracted by everyone else's battles to notice him. As Shadow lifted his arm and brought it down, a blur suddenly flashed by. Zoey was no longer in the same place as before. Shadow yelled in anger as he again hit the ground, this time his paw sinking into the solid ground.
"Thank you," Zoey smiled at her savior as she saw the Shadow warrior would have done to her. She kissed his cheek softly, getting Leirsa to blush a little.
"Now let's get him, together,"Lerisa said, turning back to see Shadow looking at the two of them. "How did you do that?" Shadow asked, understandable confusion on his face. "I control the wind, and therefore I can make myself as fast as I like," Leirsa explained, displaying by landing a solid blow on Shadow's face without even seeming to move. "I will not be defeated. I am the shadow warriors' rightful leader! You will both fall before me, mark my words!" Shadow yelled, his face bloody and eyes glowing with anger. With that, Shadow sent a ball of shadow at Leirsa. It threw him back a few feet on impact, but leaving him only slightly hurt."I'll teach you both in the most painful way possible just how badly shadows can be hurt," Shadow laughed as Zoey spoke, looking at him, burning up with determination and anger. "I've had enough of you. Shadows need the light to survive. Otherwise, darkness would envelop them as well," Zoey said, ready to battle. She used her inherited abilities with fire to create a blindingly bright flame. Shadow covered his eyes, not able to see either way. Zoey the sent the flame at him, just grazing him and scorching the fur under his jacket. Shadow then glared at the two, his sapphire eyes and their fearsome stare sent chills down the spines if the two Pokemon. Shadow began to envelop himself in a cloud of darkness before firing it out in all directions. Shadow looked more powerful with his claws a dangerous purple and his eyes glowing, seemingly with rage. "You will both die, and you friends afterward! Shadows will rule, and the light will be dashed forever!"
His voice was deeper, and a lot more threatening. As Zoey and Leirsa tried to react, Shadow fired a small ball of shadow at each of them with a flick of his wrist. Upon contact, they were both restrained by shadowy restraints. They struggled to escape, to no avail as Shadow approached. Shadow stood over them triumphantly, raising his arm above them. Leirsa saw his paw enveloped in the darkest shadow before it came down. He closed his eyes. He wouldn't be able to dodge it this time.
Suddenly, like a beam from heaven, a bright light shone almost through Shadow. The light was so pure it seemed to burn the leader badly. Shadow fell to the ground, getting back up to one knee, growling so deep it was almost impossible to hear. He saw Asriel's outstretched paw and Brittney next to him, looking at him with a calm, collected view. "Asriel..." Leirsa said, relieved. "Pick on someone your own size, you son of a bitch," Asriel told him harshly. Shadow screamed in rage as he charged at Asriel, only to be thrown back by a concentrated blast of water. A large chunk of earth followed, fired by Brittney, sending Shadow flying further back. Shadow charged again, getting knocked back again. He continued the cycle for some time before getting rather tired. Seeing this, Asriel signaled Brittney to let Shadow reach him. Shadow very tiredly stumbled to Asriel, throwing a weak punch. Asriel caught his paw, pulling him toward him and quickly moving out of the way. Shadow fell forward, incredibly overtired. He got to his paws and knees, but a kick to the stomach from Asriel made him roll onto his back, groaning in pain.
"Now, Brittney." Brittney nodded, placing a paw on Shadow's mark and another on his head. "No... stop..." Shadow begged, trying to crawl away from the vixen, shaking in pain. "What's she doing?" Leirsa asked his brother in his mind. "She extracting his memories by reversing his mark to use it against him. It's apparently extremely painful and a very bad way to go, but we have a good reason for Brittney to take these memories." Asriel explained, watching the process coldly.
A few moments later, Shadow let out one final cry of despair before his body reached its limit. The shadow warriors have lost yet another leader. The battle was starting to lean toward the light.
