A little love story between Lucario and Braixen

Finally Pt. 4

Nightmare looked at Lightning as the Jolteon just stood there, a confident smile on the electric types face. "Ah, the dark eeveelution vs me. I will tell you now; you will fall to me," Lightning told Nightmare as he stood across from Nightmare, his paws being surrounded by electricity. Nightmare only shrugged his shoulders before flexing his shoulders, his blades sliding into his paws.

"Let's get started, shall we?" Lightning asked before racing forward, almost being a blur to the naked eye. 'Let's do this, partner' Nightmare thought, his left eye shifting to gold. Suddenly, Lightning seemed to have slowed down to a more do-able speed. Raising his left paw as a punch was thrown. Lightning hissed as he jumped back, shaking the fire off of his paw before he could be burned too much.

"Not bad," Lightning said before darting forward, throwing punches and kicks at Nightmare, only a spare few landing with Nightmare not even bothering to block them, only dodge. "You call those attacks?" Nightmare asked, raising an eyebrow as he merely leaned his head to dodge a punch. "Let me show you a real attack," Nightmare said, smiling. Before Lightning could react, he took a full-powered punch to the face, a loud crack coming from the place of contact. Lightning fell backward, holding his nose, cursing like a sailor.

Nightmare, however, would not let up. He continued to strike at Lightning, laughing as the Jolteon kept being hit by his outstanding speed. "I thought you were fast? Why can't you dodge, Lightning? You disappoint me," Nightmare growled, landing yet another blow to Lightning's face. Lightning growled before a surge of electricity forced him back, making Nightmare hiss. "Fine. You want me to be fast? Then take THIS!" Lightning growled, his body literally vanishing, confusing Nightmare.

At least till he took a blow to the small of his back. Nightmare hissed as his eyes turned all gold, Umuka taking over from the pain Nightmare felt. "Huh. that one actually stung a little. I hope you don't mind me going all out too," Umuka said, laughing when he took a blow to his face. "Now, let the games begin!" Umuka chuckled.

With what looked like ease, Umuka thrust Gorrick outward, a small flash of blood covering the blade before it froze instantly, a cry of pain coming from a huddled form a few feet away from Umuka, a covering of frost over the small cut. "Again!" Umuka laughed before fazing out of sight. All Lightning could do was scream out in pain with each slice Umuka made on his body, slowly falling down to his knees, charred burns and frozen blood covering his body.

"I am bored. You die," Umuka said, appearing out of nowhere with his swords crossed in an 'x' around Lightning's neck. With a scissoring motion, Lightning ceased to live.

Suddenly, with an odd feeling in his stomach, Umuka shifted to Nightmare as he saw Flae on the ground, blood covering her body as she looked up to Bolt, who was smirking evilly. "Die," Bolt whispered, his paw going down,  claws crackling with electricity.

"NO!!!" Nightmare screamed, racing forward as time seemed to slow down. With a leap, Nightmare got there just in time. A sharp pain erupted in his chest, all pain vanishing quickly as he froze, looking down. Lightning's paw was in his chest, blood pooling freely around his paw. With a smile, Lightning removed his blood-soaked paw, watching Nightmare die slowly.

A scream shook the air, full of loss and morn.

Alrighty, everyone! This chapter is short, but it got the point across for the chapter to come! I hope you all don't hate me for such short chapters!
