A little love story between Lucario and Braixen

A broken heart.

Asriel was made aware that he was not dead, confusing him.

Till he felt the dripping.

Asriel opened his eyes to see Brittney above him, tears falling from her eyes and blood from her chest. Asriel was unable to say anything, his world slowly breaking as Brittney smiled. "I love you, Asriel," Brittney whispered before Orron removed his claws, Brittney falling down on Asriel's chest. "Brittney... Brittney!" Asriel yelled, moving to where he was beside her, begging her to wake up, to stay with him. He felt her last breath, the flame he loved so much in her eyes dying as she passed on, Asriel sobbing as he held her close, his body shaking with grief.
"How the love has ended. I liked her too," Justin said, getting Asriel to look up, his sapphire blue eyes burning with anger. "You will pay," Asriel said as he gently laid Brittney’s body on the ground, new power surging in his body as he glared at the Luxray.
Justin just laughed, flicking his tail for Orron to kill Asriel. As Orron was moving to strike, Asriel yelled out a battle cry, his body glowing a rainbow of colors.

Nightmare, who was on the porch, took a step back, his eye wide. "What’s happening?" Agua asked, confused as she watched her nephew. "He... Asriel is mega evolving," Nightmare stammered as the rainbow aura blew outward, revealing Asriel.

He looked like a normal Mega Lucario, but he had pure white wings coming out of his back. “You have made a innocent take another; you will pay!” Asriel growled, his ocean blue eyes ablaze with anger. He looked at Orron and raised a paw, a blue glow radiating from it. “Seal break!” Orron yelled, a blue energy firing from his paw, hitting Orron, sending him flying into a tree. Asriel glared at Justin, who looked freaked out as the Lucario took a step forward, both paws crackling with energy. “By the oath, I will deliver justice!” Asriel roared, flying forward.
Justin didn’t have time to even cry out before Asriel gave him a right hook, followed by a round house kick to his side; a loud ‘crunch' could be heard as the Luxray crashed into a tree. Asriel walked slowly to Justin, his aura shimmering around him as he glared at the limp Luxray.
“You made a innocent take a life; for that, you have condemned yourself to the Distortion World,” Asriel told Justin as he looked up, his tone solemn. Justin glared at Asriel before spitting blood at him. “When we win, there will be no heaven, only the depths of the Distortion World will house you,” Justin spat. Asriel did not react to this, except by knocking Justin out with a touch to his forehead.
“Get away; you won’t have a second chance,” Asriel told the Espeon, who teleported her and her companions away from the angel. Asriel walked over to Brittney’s body slowly, tears surfacing as he knelt by her body. “Brittney… why did you sacrifice yourself for me?” Asriel asked, placing a glowing paw on her wound. Singing in a light, clear voice, Asriel let the words he was holding in flow out of him and into Brittney, vowing his love and memory to her. Slowly, her wound began to close, but Asriel knew it was just to heal her body; she was already gone.
Asriel started to cry as he finished, his tears falling freely. ‘Why?’ Asriel thought, shaking lightly. Suddenly, Asriel heard a happy laugh, making him look up in shock. Brittney was kneeling in front of him- well, more like her spirit was. His love was a pure white, her wings like the purest dove. “I did it because I love you, silly,” Brittney replied, looking at Asriel with a small smile; now Asriel really lost it.
Asriel looked down as he sobbed openly, unable to hold back his tears. ‘I did this, I caused this to happen,’ Asriel thought to himself, crying harder; Brittney just looked at him, smiling lightly. Suddenly, Brittney started to sing, placing her paws in Asriel's, a warm feeling entering his body as he looked up.

You were in college working part time waiting tables, left a small town never looked back.
I was a flight risk with a fear of falling, wondering why we bother with love if it never lasts.
I say ‘can you believe it?’ as we’re lying on the couch, the moment I could see it. Yes, yes, I can see it now!

Asriel was watching what looked like memories of Brittneys, from her as a fennikin to who she was today. Asriel smiled, remembering everything he had promised himself, the things he would do for her.

We got bills to pay,
We got nothing figured out,
When it was hard to take, yes, yes, this is what I thought about.

Asriel almost laughed as the memory of them eating on a boat flashed through his minds eye, and how he proposed to her; it was exactly how he had planned to do so, with a ring and all.

And I remember that fight two thirty a.m,
Everything was slipping right out of our hands,
I ran out crying and you followed me out into the street.
I braced myself for the good bye, cause that is all I ever known,
And you took me by surprise, saying you would never leave me alone.

Asriel started to sing the next verse, her memories becoming his own as he remembered everything; the fight, the times that were good, everything.

I remember how we felt sitting by the water,
And every time I look at you, its like the first time,

Asriel smiled as he looked into his loves hazel green eyes, feeling better. Brittney looked up for a second before looking at Asriel sadly. “I have to go. I love you, now and forever,” Brittney told Asriel, planting a brushing kiss on Asriel's cheek before she started to fly up, waving before she vanished from view.
