Nico's POV
Today's capture the flag was unbelievably impressive. I approached the blue team and headed towards Percy. "Hey." I said, and he just looked pass me as if I didn't exist. Now that was something I didn't see everyday, actually, I never seen. But he wasn't the only one. All the campers around me had their heads turned the same direction, so I decided to see for myself, and then I saw her, the new camper. As she walked out into the open field, streaks of long brownish black hair that glistened in the sun and fell loose down her shoulders. A peach hairband tucked beneath it and what was so unusual was one eye was green and the other was silverish grey, unlike like metal. She had fair skin, ripped denim jeans and shiny emerald combat boots. She stopped in her tracks and gazed at me, and rapidly I took a step back and made sure she didn't see me for some reason. Percy walked over to me and said, "Nico, do whatever you can and keep the team on guard." I nodded and headed east towards the trees, knowing the flag was somewhere around there next to a creek. I ran in, and walked in stealth, I seen a red flag unguarded just a few minutes away. I walked up to the stepping stones and suddenly I heard a twig snap. I spun around as fast as my feet could and pulled out my Stygian Iron sword. But as soon as I turned, a tip of an arrow met my nose. I backed away and looked up, the new camper narrowed her eyes and kept her bow trained on me. "What team do you present kid?" she said, almost sternly, although it sounded as if she was trying to make her voice rise on purpose. "Blue team, I was just heading for the flag." I answered, still looking at the point of the arrow. Suddenly her eyes widened and she lifted her arm upwards above my head and let the arrow fly, but it only looked like a zap of electricity. It hit the tree across from the lake and fire like wings sprouted from the arrow and wrapped around the wood, and in a blink of an eye it was on fire. "What was that for? You could have killed an innocent Dryad!" I yelled, she didn't reply and kept looking at her target. That's when I seen a nymph pulling out branches from a Dryad, "Oh." I said, she held out a hand, "I'm Autumn." she said, "Nico." I said back and shook her hand, "No campers have arrived yet so we still have a chance." she said, and the bow she was holding deformed and turned into a double sided Swallow sword. "Let's go get that flag." I murmured and we ran across the stepping stones and sprinted towards the flag. She pulled it from the ground and as I usually expected, Annabeth and Jason surrounded us with their arms crossed and grinning. I thought of three words, we-were-doomed.
