•Valeria's POV•

We get out of the car and walk into the house filled with teens.

"Ima go see if I can make out with someone", Christal says.

"No your not", Jose says and holds her back.

"Because wait five minutes", he says and she nods.

"You made it", Daniel walks up to Jose and they do the "bro" hand shake.

"This is Valeria", Jose points at me, "and this is Christal", he says.

"Or Chris", Chris says looking at him with her perfect smile and beautiful green eyes.

"Well Chris can I show you around", he says and nods and takes his hand and they leave.

"Now you sweetheart let's find you a guy but first a drink", he says and pulls me to a place with a bunch of drinks.

"Here a cooler", he hands me a drink that tastes really like strawberry but still has the hint of alcohol.

"Now tell me you want a popular guy, a cute guy, a nerdy guy, what do you want?", he asks.

"You to have fun I'll find my way around here stop being Cupid and go look for your own man", I say and he laughs and walks to the crowed as I stay back on my phone.

"Shot it's already eleven", I whisper to myself.

"Is that a problem", I look up to see one of the popular guys named Zach getting a drink.

"Well no but I though we would only be here an hours or two", I say.

"And now I have to go look for my friends and hope one of them isn't drunk", I say and stand up to go find them.

I find Jose drunk talking to some guys and Chris was nowhere to be found and her car was gone too and I have to money in my card to call an uber I literally hate my life. I sit in the porch and cover my face with my hands.

"Puta madre", I swear in Spanish.

"I may not speak much Spanish but I know that not good", I look up to see the very stinging and hot Jack Avery.

"Why is life so hard?", I complain.

"I don't know but if you let me sit maybe we can figure it out together", he says and I scoot.

"I'm Jack by the way", he says.

"I know we have Math, English and History together", I say.

"We do?", he says and I nod, "I'm sorry."

"It's okay most people don't notice me I'm quiet I'm Valeria by the way", I say.

"Isn't this your party shouldn't you be enjoying it?", i ask.

"I was but then I saw you weren't enjoying my party and I wanted to know why because I throw so bomb ass parties", he says and I giggle a bit.

"Well Jose is drunk out of his mind then Christal is gone because her car isn't here", I say.

"Oh yea I'm pretty sure she left with Daniel", he says.

"Life hates me", I say.

"You want me to call an uber", he asks.

"But I can't leave Jose here and if I do take him his parents will kill him", I say, "but thanks I just don't know what to do".

"Let's see how about I let you stay in my bed tonight and Jose will most likely wake up somewhere in my house and tomorrow I'll call you an uber home", he says.

"Really?", I ask and he nods, "thank you", I say and hug him then it becomes a bit awkward.

"Let me show you my room", he says and we both stand up.

"Let me get Jose's phone to text his parents", I say and he nods.

"Hey Val", Jose says as I go up to him "hi Jose give me your phone", I say and he hands me it. I walk back to jack and he shows me his room.

"Here", he says and hands me some basketball short and a hoodie, I walk to the bathroom and for the shorts I had to tighten the little string a lot and the hoodie was just oversized.

"Ok I am gonna go out there I'm locking the door do not open it to anyone I don't want you getting raped or anything and if I wanna come in I have a key do I won't knock", he says and I nods and he leaves.

I was on my phone when out of nowhere the door opens and it's jack carrying Jose in the room.

"The cops came I know you didn't want Jose to get busted", he says and look to Jose who is almost passed out, "I'm gonna go handle this", he says and I nod and keep the door locked.

"Hi Val Val where are we", Jose says.

"I a room and your gonna go sleep", I sand he nods and lays on the floor and slowly passes out.

I stay on the and look up to the ceiling and slowly drift to a deep sleep.

I wake up to Jose throwing up in the bathroom.

"What time is it?", he asks.

"Nine thirty-six", I say.

"Oh and Val where the hell are we?", he asks as we gets up and walks to the bed.

"Jacks room because Chris left us", I say.

"Oh so you wanted a popular guy huh?",h e wiggled his eyebrows.

"No he approached me because I was mad and you know what I do when I'm mad", I say.

"You mean talking in Spanish and swearing in Spanish uncontrollably", he says and I nod.

"Yes and he told me I could sleep in his room and to keep the door locked because he didn't want me getting raped", I laugh.

"Aww he cared", Jose says and I laugh.

"Call Christal scream at her or whatever and then tell her to pick us up I'm gonna go say thanks to Jack", I say and get up to see I'm still in his clothes.

"You are wearing men's clothes", Jose states the obvious.

"Yea they are jacks let me go change", I say I change and walk out the room.
