Chapter 17

Sunday, January 14th 2020

It was Sunday and The Club were taking advantage of their day off and took a stroll through the streets of Stanford Island.

Luke Gallows- "We've been here all our lives and we really haven't taken a step back to think about how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place."

AJ Styles- "One day, we are going to climb up the really high hills, just to be able to say that we did it."

Karl Anderson- "That's the only reason you should do something, to be able to gloat-ski about it."

AJ Styles- "You two do this all the freaking time and I forgot to ask about it. Why do you put ski at the end of certain words?"

Karl Anderson- "I picked it up from Gallows."

Luke Gallows- "I think I got it from my dad, he would use it when talking to all the older guys who were working in the Stanford mines. They'd all use it when talking to each other but never to anyone who didn't work in the mine."

Karl Anderson- "And you decided to screw that tradition and just make it a regular thing?"

Luke Gallows- "Yeah, of course, would you expect anything different from good Ol' Gallows?"

AJ Styles- "Calling each other good brothers always, made sense to me, if someone is like a good brother to you then you call them good brother but ski was pretty obscure. I think there might be some other stupid thing you guys say that I don't understand."

Karl Anderson- "Is it when we try to call you phenomenal hoot, without you noticing?"

AJ Styles- "Yeah, what's that about?"

Karl Anderson- "That's another thing that I picked up from Gallows."

Luke Gallows- "Why does every stupid joke that we have lead back to me?"

AJ Styles- "Can you explain where you got hoot from?"

Luke Gallows- "I was at a truck stop, somewhere in Florida, on holiday, and there were two guys at the stop who were shouting back and forth at each other. The two guys were called Robert and Ricky and they just kept calling each other old hoot and it was the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life and I just adapted it. I started calling you, AJ, phenomenal hoot because you are phenomenal at soccer and a pretty good student."

Karl Anderson- "If that's why you call AJ phenomenal hoot, then why do you call me famous hoot."

Luke Gallows- "To try and big you up and say that you're the most likely to become famous out of people at school."

Karl Anderson- "Did you ever get a hoot nickname?"

Luke Gallows- "No, none of you guys bothered to jump on the trend."

Karl Anderson- "You can be big hoot then."

Luke Gallows- "Why?"

AJ Styles- "Good brother, you're freaking huge."

Karl and AJ started laughing as Luke's face turned bright red.

Luke Gallows- "Fine, whatever."

AJ Styles- "Don't get angry, big hoot."

Karl kept laughing.

Luke Gallows- "We need more friends."

AJ Styles- "We are friends with the cheerleaders."

Luke Gallows- "Charlotte thinks your cute and, therefore, lets me and Karl sit with them when she's talking to you."

AJ Styles- "That's not true, they like you guys too. If you don't believe me then we could hang around with them as a group, outside of school, and you two can get to know them even better and then maybe ask them. You might even get lucky with one of them."
