Chapter 19

Tuesday, January 16th 2020

Another day began on the beautiful Stamford Island. The alarm on Dean's phone went off, telling him to wake up, but it was met by a snooze.

It wasn't until Dean's mom came into the room that the chances of Dean getting out of bed became a realistic possibility.

Mrs Ambrose- "Dean, it's time to wake up."

Dean Ambrose- "Do I have to?"

Mrs Ambrose- "We've been over this every day since you could speak in proper sentences, yes, you do need to, it's just how it is. Unless you are rich, you need to get up and go to work or school."

Dean Ambrose- "I'll be rich one day."

Mrs Ambrose- "I hope that you will be, sweetie. When you get up, there's pancakes downstairs."

After deciding to face the day that lay before him, Dean got up out of bed, put a soccer jersey on and slowly climbed downstairs.

Whilst eating his pancakes, Dean heard the doorbell ring.

Dean Ambrose- "Mom!"

Dean's mom didn't answer him but the doorbell kept ringing.

Dean Ambrose- "Mom!"

Dean still didn't get an answer.

Dean Ambrose- "If this is a Girl Scout asking if I want cookies I'm kicking her in the face."

To Dean's surprise, it was not a Girl Scout, it was Renee's mom.

Dean Ambrose- "Mrs Young, I didn't expect to see you here at this time."

Mrs Young- "I needed to ask you a couple of questions."

Dean Ambrose- "Sure, ask away."

Mrs Young- "Renee told me that AJ and Charlotte got beat up yesterday and you had something to do with it."

Dean Ambrose- "Sort of. I was staring at Renee and just thinking that I can change her back to the Renee I knew and liked. She then stared back at me and I felt a connection to her as if the old Renee was still in there."

Mrs Young- "I hope you're right."

Dean Ambrose- "Her friends turned to look at what Renee was looking at which was me. AJ and Charlotte didn't like that the attention was off of them so AJ threw a carton of milk at me. It missed me, hit Paige and, therefore, Roman got up and beat the crap out of AJ. Luke and Karl got up and tried to stop Roman so I ran over to help him but we all got separated. Renee fled the scene and went to a table away from it and put her head in her hands and talked to herself. Charlotte slapped Roman and then Paige slapped Charlotte, who then hit the floor."

Mrs Young- "That's everything?"

Dean Ambrose- "Yeah."

Mrs Young- "Renee told me that you started it but you are innocent."

Dean's mom heard muffled conversation from her room upstairs and came down the stairs to see who Dean was talking to.

Mrs Ambrose- "Carol, what brings you here?"

Mrs Young- "I just had to ask Dean a couple of things about an incident that Renee told me about."

Mrs Ambrose- "Dean, what did you do?"

Dean Ambrose- "I didn't do anything."

Mrs Young- "I can stand up for Dean here, after hearing Dean's perspective, I believe that he did nothing wrong."
