Chapter 24

Randy and Finn were standing in the corner of Charlotte's kitchen, looking out for a chance to win their bet.

Finn was looking for Carmella while Randy had a different plan.

Carmella came into the kitchen to get something to drink and Finn saw an opening. Finn walked over to talk to her.

Finn Balor- "Hey, Carmella."

Carmella Dale- "Hey, Finn, what's up?"

Finn Balor- "Not much, it's been a while since we had a real talk."

Carmella Dale- "I know, I feel like I only see you in Chemistry. How are all your other subjects going?"

Finn Balor- "So far so good. I think I have a good grasp on everything."

Carmella Dale- "I'm doing fine, I think. Chemistry is a little tricky."

Finn Balor- "If you need any help, just come over to our table before school, during break or at lunch and I can help you out."

Carmella Dale- "That's really nice of you."

Finn Balor- "It's nothing, just helping out an old friend."

Carmella Dale- "It's weird, since we all came to High School, I feel like some friend groups just lose contact with other ones."

Finn Balor- "Yeah, I used to talk to you more, I used to talk to Roman and Dean more and I used to talk to more of the cheerleader girls but we've drifted a lot."

Carmella Dale- "We will need Charlotte to have more parties so that we can stay close."

Finn Balor- "I don't mind who holds the parties, I'll still go just to talk to you and the others. I enjoy hanging around with Dolph, Cesaro, Mike and Randy but it's always good to have other options so I'm never lonely."

Carmella Dale- "I should really take that advice and maybe talk to Nikki and Brie more."

Finn Balor- "Are you all going to the first soccer game of our season?"

Carmella Dale- "Duh, obviously, we couldn't miss it. Charlotte wanted to see AJ do what he does best and run a midfield line like nobody else."

Finn Balor- "I'm a part of that midfield line and, trust me, Cena runs it."

Carmella Dale- "Which position in midfield did you get?"

Finn Balor- "Left."

Carmella Dale- "I should expect a goal or two from you in the opening game then."

Finn Balor- "Don't get your hopes up, we don't have any idea how good the team we are playing is and we also don't know if Dean and AJ will be able to hold it together. They hate each other so Mr Michaels put them both in centre defensive midfield, the engine of the team. If the engine doesn't work, the car doesn't work so that's a worry of mine. John will need to sort them out."

Carmella Dale- "What is the problem with those two?"

Finn Balor- "Honestly, I have no idea. It's so complicated and been running for so long that I don't know if even they remember why they hate each other."

Suddenly, Alicia ran into the kitchen.

Alicia Fox- "You guys have to come hear this!"

Finn and Carmella ran with Alicia from the kitchen to the room in the house that Nikki talked to Dean. It was clear that Dean was no longer there but Nikki definitely was.
