Chapter 47

Monday, March 14th 2020

The weekend before March the 14th saw signs that the weather that day would be pretty brutal. Stamford Island was normally starting to push towards it's sunnier days by this point in the year, but this year that was not the case.

On the Saturday, it started with a day of constant rain and a bit of wind but that did not present many problems to the people of Stamford Island. It was on Sunday where the problems began, as the rain got even heavier and the winds picked up, to the point where there was flooding in some areas and anything that was not strapped down (trashcans, trees, bikes, trampolines etc) where being blown away by the wind.

When Monday came around, it looked as if the temporary storm had calmed down slightly, which allowed some children to go to school and let the adults go to work, but very quickly that all changed. Some parents dud not want to risk sending their children to school, just to prevent anything bad from happening to them.

That morning, in the school cafeteria, the only students of WWE High that had made it in were Seth, Sami and Finn, who were sitting at a table together.

Finn Balor- "How did you guys actually get on in the weather?"

Seth Rollins- "It was rough but I could not miss a day of school."

Sami Zayn- "On my way, a bike genuinely flew past me and shattered a bus shelter."

Seth Rollins- "That broken glass flying around could be so dangerous."

Finn Balor- "That would be like a scene from Final Destination if that had seriously hurt somebody."

Renee joined the three boys in the middle of their conversation after putting her jacket hood down and shaking any water that was in her hair out.

Sami Zayn- "Hey, Renee, how was your journey?"

Renee Young- "It was fine."

Finn Balor- "Really?"

Renee Young- "Canadian girls can deal with bad weather."

Seth Rollins- "I thought it was just snow you could deal with."

Renee Young- "Apparently we are versatile."

Sami Zayn- "I'm only slightly Canadian, since that is where my parents immigrated to."

Seth Rollins- "So were you born in Canada?"

Sami Zayn- "Yes but I have a Syrian passport."

Seth Rollins- "That's cool. I'm just boring, born in the USA, with my American passport."

Finn Balor- "I have my Irish passport."

Seth Rollins- "Everyone is so fancy and foreign and there's me."

Sami Zayn- "Just the luck of the draw my friend."

Renee Young- "I meant to ask you guys if you knew if Dean was coming in today, or Roman for that matter."

Seth Rollins- "Roman told me that, while his mom was driving him here, they picked up Dean, who was of course trying to prove the weatherman wrong and walk to school when he was specifically told not to."

Renee Young- "You know how much he hates weathermen."

Seth Rollins- "Not until today I didn't."

Bayley and Sasha were the next to arrive.

Sasha Banks- "Is this everyone that came in so far, just the four of you?"

Sami Zayn- "I'm afraid so. People just didn't want to chance it with the weather."
