Chapter 28

It was a massive day for the WWE High School soccer team, they would be playing their first league game of the season.

It would soon become clear, to everyone who attended the school, that there was a certain buzz on match days.

Throughout the day, members of the soccer team were going over last minute tactic changes and making sure that everyone knew what they would need to do in the game.

At lunch, Dean, Roman and Seth, unusually,  joined Randy, John, Dolph, Antonio, Finn and Miz at their table to talk about the game.

Antonio Cesaro- "Since I'm in goals, Roman and Seth, you'll need to shout to me if you need me to run out and clear the ball."

Roman Reigns- "No problem, just so long as you pay attention, we'll be fine."

Seth Rollins- "As Roman said, pay attention and, if you think you can rush out and grab the ball, you give us a shout too."

Randy Orton- "We do have a slight problem."

Finn Balor- "What's that?"

Randy Orton- "AJ is banned from the team until Mr McMahon says otherwise so who is going to sit in defensive midfield with Dean?"

Mike Mizanin- "I'll do it."

Dean Ambrose- "I don't want Miz alongside me."

John Cena- "You didn't want AJ either but that was going to happen. Miz, I think you have a good chance of starting beside Dean today."

Dean Ambrose- "Can't we just ask Bryan?"

John Cena- "He doesn't want to be on the team. If he did, he'd of put effort into his trial."

Dean Ambrose- "We should at least consider him, that's all I'm saying."

John Cena- "The decision of Mr Michaels will be final and that's what we will have to go with."

Dean Ambrose- "I'm still going to complain no matter who you put in there with me."

AJ Styles, who was sitting with Gallows and Anderson, saw the group assembled at the one table.

AJ Styles- "You two should probably be over there, with the other guys, talking about the game today."

Karl Anderson- "We know what our duty is."

Luke Gallows- "Just tackle anyone that comes near us and give the ball up to a midfielder."

AJ Styles- "I'm still angry that I'm not there to play alongside you guys."

Luke Gallows- "You'll be back on the team soon, don't you worry, phenomenal hoot."

Back at the table where the majority of the football team sat, the guys were still talking about tactics.

Randy Orton- "I just want to let you guys know that I'm not coming back to defend. The furthest back I'm going is the just beyond the half way line."

Mike Mizanin- "Just hope that their centre backs are slow, so that we can hit balls over the top for you to run on to and score."

Randy Orton- "That part should be easy."

The student council came over to the table to catch up with the guys, more specifically, Seth, Dean and Roman.

Becky Lynch- "Roman, you guys all ready?"

Roman Reigns- "Yeah, of course, I'm ready to go to war with anyone."

Dean Ambrose- "You know it bro. Are all of you going to be at the game?"

Natalya Neidhart- "I'd never miss the chance to cheer you guys on."

Sami Zayn- "I don't care about soccer, as you know, but I care about my friends, as you also know."

Seth Rollins- "I'm happy you'll all be there for us."

Roman Reigns- "Dean, is Renee going?"

Dean Ambrose- "I could go ask her, if you want me to.

Roman Reigns- "She didn't mention anything about going?"

Dean Ambrose- "Not that I can remember."

Dean looked over and saw Renee sitting by herself at a table.

Dean Ambrose- "I'll be back in a minute."

He got up from his table and went over to sit beside Renee.

Renee looked up and smiled.

Renee Young- "Hey, Dean."

Dean Ambrose- "I'm sorry that I couldn't sit with you for this lunch."

Renee Young- "It's fine, I know you're busy with the team."

Dean Ambrose- "I can't let the team become my main priority. You're on your own, I wouldn't feel as bad if you were talking with Paige or Becky, Bayley, Sami, Sasha and Nattie."

Renee Young- "They all still seem nice, just like they did before I messed things up."

Dean Ambrose- "I think that I should take you over to them so you can make up with them and then you'll have even more friends."

Renee Young- "Then you can focus on the team instead of caring about me."

Dean Ambrose- "I'll always care about you, Renee."

Renee Young- "I'm glad we are friends again."

Renee gave Dean a high five and the two got up to execute the plan that Dean came up with and Renee agreed to.

Becky, Sami, Bayley, Sasha and Nattie were all sitting at their table, minding their own business, when Dean and Renee joined their table.

Natalya Neidhart- "Hey, Dean."

Dean Ambrose- "Yo, I'm sure you guys know that this is Renee."

Becky Lynch- "Yip."

Sami Zayn- "Obviously."

Dean Ambrose- "Me and Renee are friends again after taking some time off from that whole friendship thing so, if you guys want to hang out with me, you'll need to be cool with Renee."

Bayley Martinez- "I love making new friends. We should cement our new friendship with a hug."

Bayley got up and hugged Renee, who didn't know how to react. Renee blushed a little while Dean smiled at her.

Renee Young- "Thanks, I guess."

Dean Ambrose- "It would mean so much to me if all of you got on well and started talking more and sitting with each other. Renee doesn't really have many people to talk to since she left the cheerleaders."

Sasha Banks- "Well done by the way, that took courage."

Renee Young- "Thanks, Sasha, I really didn't have much of a choice though. I felt like I had to leave."

Sami Zayn- "Regardless, we are happy that you did and are happy that we can now call you a friend."

Becky Lynch- "We just need some more time around each other and soon we'll be calling each other besties."

Renee Young- "I'd like that. You guys are all so nice and accepting."

Sami Zayn- "This table is a happy, no judge zone."

Renee Young "That sounds perfect to me."

Dean Ambrose- "I've got soccer tactics to talk about, I'll let all of you bond."

Natalya Neidhart- "We can't wait for the game, all of us are going."

Dean Ambrose- "I'll need you all to cheer me on when I almost break some kid's leg."

Dean stood up from the table and rejoined his fellow soccer players at their table and, once again, took up his seat beside Roman Reigns while Renee started her bonding session with Sasha, Natalya, Sami, Bayley and Becky.
