Chapter 50

Roman looked out the window, while his dad drove him through the narrow streets of Stamford Island to get to Paige's house.

Roman had not talked to Paige for a couple of days, due to being stuck in the school and because Paige had gone out in the storm.

Mr Reigns- "So do you know what you are going to say to Paige?"

Roman Reigns- "I guess I am going to just speak from the heart and see where that gets me."

Mr Reigns- "Hopefully it all goes well for you."

Roman Reigns- "Whatever happens, I will just need to go with it, even if it is a negative outcome."

Mr Reigns- "Come on, kiddo, don't think negatively."

Roman Reigns- "I need to cover all bases."

Mr Reigns- "I think you are well prepared."

After driving for a few more minutes, Roman's dad pulled up at Paige's house and let Roman get out the car.

Before Roman went up to the door, his dad rolled down the window.

Mr Reigns- "Do you want me to stay here and wait for you?"

Roman Reigns- "This could either take five minutes or five hours. I think you should go."

Mr Reigns- "I will make you something to eat for when you come in."

Roman Reigns- "Thanks, dad."

Mr Reigns drove away and left Roman looking at Paige's house. After talking into himself for a minute, to give him some encouragement, Roman made the seemingly long walk to the front door of the house.

Roman knocked on the door nervously. For Roman, it felt like minutes before someone answered the door, due to the severity of his nerves.

When someone finally did answer the door, it was Paige. Roman looked at her with a desperate look on his face.

Roman Reigns- "Hey, can I come in and talk to you about everything?"

Paige Bevis- "I don't think it's in your best interest to come inside."

Roman Reigns- "Why's that? Your family likes me."

Paige stepped out of the door, closed it behind her and took a seat on her front step.

Paige Bevis- "Sit down with me."

Roman obliged and sat down beside Paige.

Paige Bevis- "You seem like you have things to get off your chest."

Roman Reigns- "Well this all started when you called me twenty times and I didn't answer. I didn't answer because I was locked in the school, with my phone on silent and about thirty yards away from me. I am so sorry that I didn't call you back and got you worried and made you go out in the storm. Something bad could of happened to you and I couldn't of lived with myself if something had happened."

Paige Bevis- "I wasn't worried that something happened to you. I knew that you would be fine. I thought you had slept in and was just more confused when you weren't there."

Roman Reigns- "So why is there a problem here?"

Paige Bevis- "Are you kidding me?"

Roman Reigns- "I don't remember doing anything else wrong."

Paige Bevis- "I am not going to name any names but someone who was stuck in the school with you told me that you and Dean almost started fighting because you were trying to compare our relationship to whatever Dean and Renee is at this point."
