The chambers of the Violet Citadel were mostly quiet as the population were mages, judging by their reading hobbies, it was either the sound of explosions of arcane or arguments but these are rare, in one such chamber was the Archmage Khadgar who peacefully read a book. His sapphire eyes calmly gazed on the old pages, his silver brows frowning as he read the contexts of the book. It is safe to say that the mage was kind of distracted.
The door creaked open, the person behind the door was none other than (y/n). The female childishly looked into the room, her (e/c) eyes glistening playfully as she saw the silver haired mage quietly reading a book.
(Y/n) tip toed into the room, praying under her breath that he doesn't discover her. Eventually she reached the table where he was at and the mage hadn't seen her yet, with a playful smile she shouted "Khadgar!" and laughed as the mage was startled by the sudden noise.
"By the light!" Khadgar's head jolted up and looked at the female who was laughing
"Enough with the childishness (y/n)! My heart almost stopped!" Khadgar looked at her with a slight anger but she kept laughing.
"Sorry! I didn't know you were being a bookworm again..." she jested and crossed her arms over her chest. Khadgar chuckled but keeping a stern expression he replied "if being wise is named bookworm by your perception then what you just did is called being a mischievous goblin in my opinion" he smiled as (y/n) rolled her eyes and looked at the book that now rested on the table.
Shuffling through the pages she asked "what is the book about?" the mage stood up, his expressions became tensed and gloomy
"Azeroth is in great danger... the legion has returned again" he spoke "I must look for a spell, a weapon or any kind of information on how must I stop them..." as he spoke those words, the woman's joyful (e/c) eyes darkened by a shadow of fear and doubt
"...and where do you plan to find them?" (Y/n) walked towards the mage and stood beside him, worryingly gazing at him.
Khadgar turned to look at her
"why are you inquiring so much missy?" he crossed his arms, lips curling into a playful smirk
"Because I want to help you! You maybe the Archmage cap'n but without a sword by your side, you're nothing! And (y/n) is at your rescue" the female confidently boasted.
The mage Khadgar laughed and poked her nose "but I must decline your kind offer, oh great swordsman!" He sarcastically stated
"But why?! I could kill so many demons!"
"No, I don't want you to be tangled in great deals of trouble or get your life in danger"
"Okay...tell me, do you think that someone might be following or spying you as you will be on your travels?" she questioned back.
Khadgar blinked his eyes for a few moments and stared at her, he really didn't give a thought to that
"I don't know...maybe?" he replied, puzzled
"See? Because if they are, I can detect em and kill them for you" she grinned and to that offer he couldn't deny. (Y/n) had a nugget of truth but her life would be in danger
"Very well..." he sighed "you can follow me" he felt disappointed in himself and maybe saddened by the fact that he was pushing this woman into a great deal of danger.

The Archmage and the female stood outside the Violet Citadel, she admired how clear the sky was and lucky to be traveling with this talented and handsome mage.
"So where are we going?" (Y/n) excitedly asked
"Kharazan..." he replied, looking at a book
"How will we go there? Portal? Or ship?" the question barely escaped her lips as a loud call of a bird startled her, she looked at the sky as a majestic griffin landed before them. The creature looked at Khadgar and softly chirped for his attention.
"A griffin" Khadgar smiled and shut the book in his hand
"A griffin? W-why can't w-we go through a p-portal? Hehe, that would be so c-convenient!" (Y/n) nervously said.
The mage laughed and looked at her "using magic to reach there might alert some demons, and what is wrong with a griffin? We could travel in fresh air!..." he paused for a bit and mischievously smiled "by any chance...you are not afraid of heights are you?" he raised a brow
"Afraid of heights?...no! Why would I be?! I was just asking..." she quickly replied and walked over to the griffin.
"She somewhat reminds me of myself" Khadgar gave her his hand and helped her to reach the griffin.
"Hold onto me, you might fall..." he warned
"I am fine!" she replied.
Though she might've said that she does not fear heights, just as the griffin began to fly she almost shrieked and wrapped her arms around the mage's torso, surprising him, and hid her face in his wide shoulders.
"I warned you..." he smugly replied
"Just take us to Kharazan! Quickly!" she shouted and held on to him with a greater force
"As my lady commands" Khadgar chuckled.

"I think something is following us!"
"I know! I'm trying to get the griffin fly faster but the wind here is not helping!"
The pair were almost near the domain of the Prophet Medivh but the heavy clouds and the unusual storm in these parts were hindering them greatly.
The griffin quickly landed and the mage rushed the female towards the tower. Just as they entered, he slammed the door and sighed of relief.
"This place looks..." Khadgar quickly placed his hand on the female's mouth and replied in a low voice "do not speak so loudly please" and walked towards an old bookshelf.
Whereas (y/n) quietly watched him from the shadows.
She saw a mysterious robed figure walking towards the mage, he called him Medivh but (y/n) knew that something was wrong.
Her blade awaits to attack if something goes wrong here, as she watched Medivh talk with the mage, how he explained him that Khadgar must become a guardian or all his sacrifices will be for naught. The former guardian displayed an ancient spell book in front of him
"The fate of Azeroth rests on yours hands, accept your desires" he said
"I have always wanted the legion to cringe before my fury that I will unleash upon them and that's why I must never accept your offer!" Just as those words escaped Khadgar's mouth, the former guardian revealed his true form, who was no other than a dread lord who bared his fangs and attempted to attack the mage. Leaping forward from her hiding place, she attacked the dread lord but soon Khadgar flings the demon from the window of the tower by a beam of pure arcane.
The mage stood at the broken window as he gazed outside, and (y/n) walked as she stood beside him
"We didn't find any weapon or spell here..." she said, sounding a little disappointed
"No we didn't..." he looked at her
"So what do we do now?" she was puzzled
"A weapon may break... and a spell fades but a true alliance cannot be fragmented. Standing as one we will defeat these demons... are you with me (y/n)?" Khadgar presented his hand to her. The female smiled and gladly placed hers on his "yes, we shall defeat these demons together" she replied.
A new day was dawning and so was a new alliance....
