Dimhollow Cavern, the inner sanctum of Dimhollow Crypt. Even though this dark chamber was sinister, it didn't lack in beauty, as the room was surrounded by water and a beautiful circular platform rested firmly on top of it, designed with braziers that was now lit up by the blood of the newly arrived dawnguard and the beautiful rays of sun lit the room just perfectly. The room had a darkly seductive atmosphere about it.
The dawnguard male watched with apathy but surprised as a coffin came out from the center. As it opened, a beautiful woman would've fallen if not for (y/n). The dawnguard quickly held the woman in his arms and stared with hidden awe at her, until she opened her eyes. The blood red gaze stared back into his soul as her beautifully plump lips opened to speak "where...where am I?" a quiet and peaceful voice, unlikely for a vampire
"The question is; who are you?" The male asked, still holding the female vampire in his arms. The woman seemed to have noticed this and quickly stood up on herself, nervously looking at the ground before turning her gaze back to him
"I should be asking you that, but for the sake of politeness... I am Serana" she said, just as apathetic but she tried to curl her lips to form a smile "I believe it's your turn now, who are you? And who sent you here?" Serana asked, her voice was so calm that the anger she tried to show was probably unnoticed
"I'm (y/n).... and a man name Isran" (y/n) replied, refraining from giving too much information, just for her beauty and voice he wouldn't spill all the information, vampires are known to be that way
"I'm pretty sure that I don't know him... is he like me?" Serana tilted her head in confusion and looked at him with a plea in her eyes but without waiting for him to reply she said "listen, I need to meet my family and it's crucial for me to visit them... I need you to get me there, please" she requested, hands resting on her hips.
As much as (y/n) hated to trust a vampire, he needed to know the roots of these vampires as well "very well, where does your family live?" The dawnguard replied, acting as if he knew nothing about her being a vampire
"My family live on an island west of Solitude, and if I'm correct they still do. You need a boat to get there" she informed
"As long as you don't get in my way" he crossed his arms and replied
"I was about to tell you the same thing" she sighed and looked away from him.

After the journey of at least an hour through the cold sea, they finally reached an island occupied by an eerie looking tower. Even looking at it could send a shiver down the spine
"You live in a castle?" (Y/n) couldn't hide the surprise as he stared at the castle
"I do" Serana smiled at him
"You didn't tell me that before..." the dawnguard slightly chuckled
"I just... I just didn't want you to think that I'm one of those woman who sits in a castle all day" she paused "if that explains it" she replied mysteriously but there was another emotion in her voice, maybe she was greatly depressed?
"Let's move on..." (y/n) didn't want to shuffle any memories or personal information about her, it would be best to not converse with her for the moment.
As they walked into the castle, there were a few things (y/n) couldn't help but notice— one the castle was colder than outside, two it had a sweet but old smell of perfume and three the occasional smell of blood. Of course, not to mention the screams, pleas and moans of blood-drained thralls that weakly carried trays of blood stained goblets. The castle's beauty was drowned by this horrendous sight.
"Ah Serana, it has been a long time since I've seen you" a man's voice echoed in the chamber "I trust you have my Elder Scroll?" he smiled as he saw the decorated scroll on Serana's back and nodded to himself in approval.
"If I'm not wrong, your daughter returns after a millennia and all you care about is that damned scroll?!" The male dawnguard shouted, he definitely couldn't hide the disgust in his voice for the vampire lord.
Serana quickly held his arm and looked at him, gesturing him to stop "please let me do the talking" she whispered to him "yes I have the scroll" she quickly replied her father.
The vampire lord smiled, he was sure that Serana spoke and spilled quite a lot of information about her to this newcomer
"Interesting answer, dawnguard. Tell me what is your name" he looked at (y/n) with malice and rage filled eyes
"You first" (y/n) didn't care about manners or politeness, he didn't even care that this behavior of him could get him killed as the loyal lackeys of the vampire lord were already glaring at him
"Very well... I'm Harkon, lord of this court" he replied
"(Y/n), dawnguard, trained to kill beasts like you" (y/n) replied.
Serana was concerned about the dawnguard, answers like that could get him in trouble and it somewhat bothered her that she was partly the reason why (y/n) became annoyed by her father.
Harkon however wasn't at all bothered by his answer, he laughed like usual "I expected a bit more brains in you, but here you are, acting like all the other people in the presence of a vampire" he replied before beginning the conversation again "since you were so kind to return my daughter, instead of killing her, you get a reward" Harkon said "I offer you my blood, take it and you shall walk as a wolf among the mortal sheeps".
The dawnguard frowned "what if I refuse it?" he said
"I shall let you walk away but the next time we meet, it shall be your death" Harkon stated
"I refuse it, keep your disease to yourself" he glared at the vampire lord and looked at Serana one last time before walking away from the door. Serana met his gaze, there was pity in her eyes but melancholy in his, something about him made her curious and she promised herself to find him, no matter what the cost.

"I couldn't enter the portal... and it caused an injury as well" (y/n) frowned still recovering from the sudden shock
"I...I see... well to enter the portal..." Serana stuttered a bit as she searched for the right words, she didn't want to lose someone who became her friend or maybe something more by just a misunderstanding.
"Serana, what is it? Tell me" he asked, growing a little impatient and maybe worried by her sudden fear and reluctance
"Well...you have to become partly undead, as the Soul Cairn will not accept any living... I can partly soul trap you or..." she looked away and stopped herself from speaking anymore
"Or?" (Y/n) raised a brow
"Or you have to become a vampire..." Serana said and nervously stared at him, her heart hoping that he doesn't misunderstand or begin to dislike her. Serana's decades of loneliness and melancholy caused her to grow fond and dependent on the male's company, she didn't want anything to part them. After the horrible ritual to become a pure blooded vampire, she began to hate herself and everything around her, she even grew fearful of love. So what did she feel now? Had her lonely heart finally felt love?
"Then a vampire I shall be" he gently replied and smiled at her "I shall do anything for you...Serana" he walked closer to her and held her cold face softly in his warm hands, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Serana embraced him "I knew that you'd understand... I trusted that you..." she chuckled and gently held his neck, softly kissing it before placing her fangs, making him what she was
"We would be together... even in undeath"
