The howling winds from the Sea of Ghosts crashed against the ancient window panes of the Volkihar castle. Causing a loud noise as if something or someone was trying to break into with their claws. The interiors of the castle are unusually cold but the bone chilling wind didn't do anything to help the chill.
The cold and unwelcoming atmosphere of Volkihar court seemed a far more colder place today.
Not that it can bother a vampire, but to a mortal this place would be a crueler and darker majesty than Skyrim. The vampire members of the court sat around the ancient bloodstained table as a royal dark meeting, sometimes scoffing at each other or rolling eyes, and sometimes insulting the other one under their breaths.
It really wasn't the most friendly place to be around, and what really annoyed the lord of this court was the occasional but not so rare arguments between the advisors of Lord Harkon, Orthjolf and Vingalmo, those two wouldn't stop sneering and calling each other names.
The advisors were ancient given their age but the fights between them proved otherwise.
Annoyed and angered, the vampire lord smacked the silvery chalice against the royal table and stood up from his throne
"Enough two of you!" his voice echoed in the halls, causing the Nord and the Altmer to stop any conversation and pledge their entire attention to lord Harkon
"You two have been arguing about nonsense for a quiet a while now, I believe it's time to sew up your mouths and leave the court in peace" Harkon commanded, his voice calm but eerie and demanding.
Orthjolf glanced at the Altmer before nodding "fine..." he replied
however the elf didn't leave a chance to appear all loyal to the vampire lord
"I merely was trying to put some sense into the imbecile Nord..."
"What did you say knife ear?!" Orthjolf glared
"... but I digress, I shall be silent as death now my lord, I apologize for the inconvenience" Vingalmo courtly bowed before walking past the nord, and taking a seat with the rest of the court.
The lord Harkon sighed before sitting down on his throne again, staring at the blood filled chalice that he is drinking from. The vampire lord would've been immersed in thoughts if not for the sudden noise of the main door shutting, his crimson gaze darted to the entrance to find his daughter walking into the castle, with a beautiful stranger following her.
Lord Harkon smirked and almost felt as if his heart began to beat by the look of this stranger as a strange hunger rushed through him, he didn't feel such an "interest" in any woman after the betrayal and disappearance of Valerica, a woman he once used to call his wife. "So my long lost daughter returns with a pleasant surprise" a cold smile creeps up on his lips as he spoke with the same chill in his voice "I trust you have my... Elder Scroll?" he quickly added before anyone begins to suspect anything.
The vampire advisors began to stare funnily at the stranger woman who appears to be protecting his daughter, Serana, on their way to the Volkihar Castle. The vampire lord stood up and approached them, blocking the advisors' vision, leaving a hint to who was the monarch here.
"Interesting... I believe you deserve a reward... fair stranger" he said, his voice growing seductive ever so slightly as he said "fair", raising the chalice to her as a hint of what was the reward. The female glanced around the court for a few moments before questioning "what... who are you people?" she asked, not a single nervousness in her voice, just a slight curiosity.
Interesting, this female was indeed mysterious, just what would excite the vampire lord.
Lord Harkon chuckled "we are vampires, young mortal... I admire your bravery for walking straight into the lair of pureblooded vampires" he said "with a simple order I can turn this entire court against you..." the vampire lord seemed to have detected a slight presence of fear in those (e/c) eyes "but I will not, you see I'm a man of my words... and what you have returned to me, deserves only one reward... I offer you my blood" his smile grew wider as she appeared surprised by the offer
"Make me a creature like you? Curious... but I cannot shake the feeling that it doesn't appear without a price" she smiled suggestively
"Just a little pain... afterwards, you shall be the very harbinger of fear" he let out his hand to her.
After a moment of thinking, she smiled and accepted his hand "very well, my lord... make me the harbinger of fear, the chill of Coldharbor" she walked closer to him, her slightly sinister eyes locked with his crimson ones.
Harkon smiled, her smugness and the slight evilness she spoke with, made her ever so interesting. The vampires of the court averted their eyes, seeing how intimate they looked now.
Lord Harkon held small chin and gently tilted her head to reveal her neck, before nearing close to her and sinking his fangs into the soft and sweet smelling skin.
There was but a slight moan of pain from her, a split moment of resistance, afterwards she fell unconscious from the potent power coursing through her veins, slowly changing her mortal form into an immortal one.....
