That was a year ago, and times had changed. For the worse. Dan didn't like to think about what happened 6 months ago, 6 months after Dan said to his little brother that one day, they'll move out together. Live happily by themselves, just the two of them.

But it's different now.

Now, he's in Year 11. Tapping his pencil on his desk annoyingly as he wanders his head around the classroom, waiting for the moment the bell rang for them to go home. A usual boring day. Dan looked at the clock - one minute.

Just then, another student walked into the room. They carried a note, which they took to Dan's Geography teacher. She read it, before announcing "Mr Howell, the Head Teacher wants to see you after class.."

Dan huffed, groaning inwardly and rolling his eyes. 'I saw him yesterday for fuck sake.'

Nonetheless, he still went. The bell rang, and Dan stood and waited. Waited for the classroom to empty before he left. Eventually, the class became empty of students.

"Daniel, hurry up, Mr Hayes is waiting." His Geography teacher ordered impatiently.

"Do I look like I give a shit?" He growled under his breath.

"What was that, young man?" The teacher questioned.

"Nothing, Miss..." Dan muttered, leaving the room. "...Fuckin bitch." He whispered after closing the door.

As he trudged - at a slow pace - towards the Head Teacher's office, Dan kept his usual expression. Kids were going in all sorts of directions - some flooding into the library or empty classrooms to do extra studying and others rushing to get out.

Either way, Dan still scared the shit out of them. Those talking and chatting away in corridors fled at the sight of him, even if he was all the way at the other end of a corridor. It was funny - or at least Dan found it funny anyway. He quite enjoyed the fact that people left him be - and shat themselves whenever he entered a room.

Dan's school had three floors and then the roof - which students could but weren't aloud to get onto - and the Head Teacher's office was right on the top floor; annoyingly at the other side of the bloody school. He may have long ass legs but he's also lazy - especially when it came to school.

Soon enough, Dan reached the correct corridor, but who he saw on it made him want to turn around and head back home instantly. And that's what he did.

'Fuck this...'

"Mr Howell, where do you think you're going?" My Hayes, the Head Teacher, asked.

"I don't know, home maybe?" He retaliated.

"Dan, we all know you don't leave here until the staff leave.." The person beside Mr Hayes pestered.

Who was stood next to Mr Hayes exactly?

Philip. Michael. Lester.

Dan shot Phil an evil glare, in which Phil just stood, straight-faced and serious.

'This kid...'

"Alright, into my office - now. I have something important I want to speak to you about..." Mr Hayes spoke firmly.

Dan rolled his eyes, stomping towards the office and giving Phil a dirty look before he entered.

"Well, Mr Lester, you have a nice evening and I'll see you tomorrow." The Head Teacher turned his attention to Phil with a smile and held out his hand.

Phil shook it politely, "You too, Mr Hayes, see you later!" And with that, Phil wandered off happily, coat in hand and backpack hanging from his back.

My Hayes closed the door behind him, before taking a seat in his office chair and gesturing for Dan to sit down.

"Nah, I'm alright here thanks." He said plainly, leaning against the wall close to the door.

Mr Hayes sighed, he knows there's no point in arguing with Dan Howell - he'll never win. Instead, he just lets it go and begins speaking.

"Listen, Daniel, I know things are difficult for you, but you need to let it go; it's been 6 months-" He begins softly.

"And your point is?" Dan interrupted, "So what if it's been 6 months? Time doesn't make you forget about this shit!" Rage started rising in his gut, spreading to his heart.

"Young man, do not swear in front of me!" Mr Hayes commanded, taking a deep breath, "Listen, ever since he-"

"DON'T even say it!" Dan yelled aggressively.

"Alright, alright..." Mr Hayes put his hands in front of him, as if surrendering or something, "I just wanted to say, since...it happened, you've been letting everything effect your school life."

"I don't care, I'll probably die before I graduate this place..." Dan barked.

"Don't say that, Daniel. Look...I'm just trying to look out for you..." My Hayes reassured.

"Sure, whatever.." Dan folded his arms across his chest.

Mr Hayes is a good friend of Dan's father, and practically promised his dad he would look out for him during school. Honestly, he really does try to make Dan feel at least the little bit happier when it comes to learning. Obviously he doesn't give two fucks about school.

Dan is quite difficult though; to say the least.

"If your grades do get any worse, I'm telling your father.." Mr Hayes threatens.

Dan laughed a little, "Do you really think that scares me? My father couldn't care less about me..."

"Dan Howell, I will not tolerate you speaking about your father like that - he is a nice man!" Mr Hayes objected.

"Ha, just wait until you see him at home when I'm in..." And with that, Dan kicked off the wall and exited.

'I'm so fuckin done..'

"What's the point?"
