Corruption Kills Us All

There once was Darkness that hid and was forgotten. Innocence lives with it, but still it grows. Innocence is an aura soon to be lost, but not forever, so it seems. Innocence is not defined by age, knowledge, or the breaking of a cage. Innocence lives on in our hearts, resting snuggly within Darkness' lock. Nobody knows what is to be known about the two children born within Sin. Three parts of one whole, nobody wants it to be known. Innocence and Darkness are the children of Sin that went ahead and let Happiness in. Not always born from it, some say, but Happiness will get its own some day. Innocence and Darkness, though from the same place, both wear a different face. Darkness cracked its mask and went along on a different task. Consume, cacoon, bottled hate. Red, beds, society's fate. Then along came Greed and strung Darkness along, you see? Innocence was left behind, but never fails to coincide.

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.
