Midnight Snack

"Grandmother, Grandmother, I cannot find my brother!"
"Grandmother, Grandmother, give me another!"
"Grandmother, Grandmother, Mommy was funner!"
"Grandmother, Grandmother, am I a bother?"
"Grandmother, Grandmother, where is my father?"
"Grandmother, Grandmother, this water tastes funny!"
"Grandmother, Grandmother, give me more honey!"

That afternoon among the deafening silence, the little old lady enjoyed her tea with a soft pink staining her sink.

"They stuff me with the unwanted, then say there's something wrong with me?"

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe,
She had so many children she didn't know what to do!
So she gave them some broth without any bread,
And she whipped them all soundly and sent them to bed!
