Montgomery and I had been seated in his office, trying to decide who would be sent off to the manor in Scotland, though we were facing difficulties, because they all had something to offer.
"Paul was smart to write out a separate list, separating those with mental and physical gifts" I commented.
He nodded, taking a drink from his goblet "It certainly helps"
"So those with physical gifts are: Annabeth, Florence, Montgomery, Audrina, Gregory, Manuel, Augustus, Edgar, Warren, you and myself" I said, setting the list down.
"While those with mental gifts are: Killian, Claude, Preston, Dominic, Florence, Gregory, Leo and myself" he continued.
We both sat back, studying the list.
"I suggest we add Gregory to the list, because he has both physical and mental gifts, so he could protect others who are traveling with him" I suggested.
He nodded in agreement "I also believe we should have Manuel go, because his gift of incineration could be useful in protection; as well as Leo, because he is not the strongest yet, so he could easily meet a dark end"
"Those who we believe could be easily killed by the P'yushchego Vampirov should be sent off to Scotland, because they should not be sacrificed to help in their defeat" I said.
He looked at me, taking in what I had said, before nodding.
I placed the list down on the desk "I also want to make sure that the children are sent off to Scotland, because as children, they have no right in fighting for us"
"I completely agree, but Rowan will not leave this manor without her sister, so we must send Jemina as well" he said.
"With Jemina being her only remaining family, I do not want her losing her sister, so yes, she should be sent off to Scotland" I agreed.
He placed his goblet back on the table "We have Manuel, Leo, Gregory, Maisie, Rowan and Jemina" he looked at me "Who else do you suggest for this?"
I looked down at the list, looking through the names "I want Timothy added, because without his sight, he is an easy target for them and he has already suffered enough, but we must send Aloysius with him, because they- like Rowan and Jemina, only have each other left"
"We do not need to send a large group, just one big enough to establish a settling ground at the manor" he commented.
I took a long drink from my goblet "We must send a shapeshifter with them"
He leaned forward "I am going to suggest sending Louis"
I looked down, considering that "It would be the only way to guarantee his survival" I set my drink down "And it is selfish of e to want him by my side during all of this"
He shook his head "Not if you are willing to do the same for them. I suggest you speak to him about this first, but if he does not want to leave, we will have Paul protect over those leaving"
I nodded, leaning back in the chair "Is that it?"
He stood up "I believe so"
"Actually, I have one more item to bring up" I said, catching his attention.
"I wish to take a small group to go looking in the woods for Langston, just in case they were cruel enough to kill him in a place we would not initially look" I suggested.
He looked out the window "Under any other circumstance, I would say no, but since he is only a child and Tinsley's work will be questionable the longer she worries for him, I will allow it"
