Alone
Carried away by the throngs of people For support, I grip my father's arm.
"What are you doing, Zyrel? Loosen up!" My mother hissed, which caused me to glance around at all the people.
While walking, my father ran into some of his business partners, which caused us to come to a halt.
We then proceed to our table after they have a brief discussion about their companies.
I took a look around and was struck by how grand the event was, halatang pinagkagastusan ang araw na ito!
The crowd stood up in applause as the birthday celebrant made her grand entrance. Her son, on the other hand, looked dashing in his suit.
The announcer gave the old lady the chance to make her speech.
As she stepped onto the stage to deliver her message, the old lady exuded elegance.
"Thank you so much for coming to celebrate my birthday; it's pleasant to see you here; have fun!"
As the audience applauded, she grinned as his son escorted her down to the stage and his husband walked through them to kiss her on the cheeks.
They eventually came to our table after roaming every table, and my mother hugged the old lady and greet her my mom touched my lower back as sign that I need to greet her too.
I didn't disappoint my mom and greet the old lady "happy birthday madame" I smiled and the old lady went all her attention to me.
She looked at me intently and gave me a smile "Thank you iha, Zenaira Is this your daughter already? She was so young before, but look at her now, she's grown so beautiful!"
Tinignan nya ulit ako at binigyan ko naman sya ng tipid na ngiti.
"Of course Cristania, tayler will surely like her!" My mom gave me smile and looked at the man standing near the old lady.
"My son surely will, Iha, you're stunning. I'd like to introduce you to my son, or should I say, your fiancé?" They're all laughing at what the old lady said.
The man grinned, revealing his dimple, and offered his hand to me, causing them to pause in their conversation.
Tinignan ko lang iyon at natauhan lang nang nakita ko ang nakakatakot na tingin ni mommy, tinanggap ko iyon at pilit na ngumiti.
"I'm Tyler it's nice to finally meet you, I've always waiting this to happen" He began by introducing himself.
"Zyrel" I simply said and gave him my plastic smile
I don't know what act gladly the old lady breaks the silence that has been keeping me at ease.
"Since you're engaged to marry, you should feel free to be yourself with each other."
My mother laugh awkwardly at agad na hinila ang matanda my dad was already talking to the old lady's husband for business and when they looked at us tayler immadiately pulled me out the crowd.
"Where are we going?" I asked nervously, I still don't know him!
"Saan tayo pupunta ang sabi ko" Hindi man lang nya ako binalingan at hinayaan ko nalang syang kaladkarin ako at natigil kami sa likod ng bahay nila.
