Seamus has been pinging up on Google alerts lately. Ze doesn't like it.

When they first got this house, the first thing Seamus did was put a Google alert on his name. "We've got a secret to keep", he said, "I'm not letting us get attacked without any previous knowledge." Ze thought it was a dumb idea, but he woke up the next morning with Seamus shoving a laptop in his face where pages and pages of alerts have come up from people looking for him.

There's a lot of blood on both their hands, mostly from that very first week. Seamus didn't have any henchmen yet, so him and Ze did a lot of the clean up work. They spent one day tracking down hundreds of IP address and were in and out of planes to get rid of these people, figuring out more IP address as they went. It was very methodical and the risk of getting caught was higher than ever then. They had no power then. They were just two kids out of the nest trying to do what they were supposed to do so Mama bird didn't get made and smite them down.

There were at least 50 people. Most of them were clumped together in the places where Seamus' antics had been the worst. His face was on Wanted posters in tiny little towns and big cities. Ze had been surprised that they hadn't been taken down yet. They were so out in the open, working frantically as if every moment was their last.

It was one of the lowest moments of his life. It's why Ze hates to get involved when Seamus sends him with his henchmen. If he can help it, he's not killing another soul. His hands are already stained red. He doesn't need them anymore dirty.

But with all these alerts, it's getting hard to ignore the fact that they're still there.

Ze jerks his eyes away from the screen as one more alert comes through. It's been about a week and a half since his Christmas celebration with Aleks and some of the decorations are still up. The dog with the present in hand is still in the corner, the sound of the fan keeping him up being the only sound in the room. It smiles at him, happy and carefree. Ze never thought he'd be so jealous of a dog.

He kept the Christmas tree up mostly because it's a little bit of happy in their dark little section of what feels like Hell. It's easy for them to pretend that everything is okay just by looking at it. They can pretend that the threat of Seamus barging through the door at any moment isn't there and the fact that his love for Aleks might not be enough to save them anymore. They can pretend that Aleks isn't a practical serial killer and has been starting to slip into feelings of withdrawal, getting closer and closer to insanity with every passing day. He's been pretty flared up since their encounter with Kevin and Seamus. He's been on edge, his temper out of control. Ze has no idea how to help him besides staying out of the war path.

Everything is on the verge of falling apart. There's too many variables that could destroy them in one fell swoop. That fact worries Ze more than the fact that someone is looking for Seamus.

Monica's murder has been getting more attention down in Colorado lately. Jordan must have gotten around to talking. They have almost no leads, but their clinging to the one thing that they know for sure. Jordan went talking about Aleks in his questioning with them. His name is all over Colorado newspapers, looking for anyone named Aleks, no matter how it's spelled. The news is starting to spread up here to Pennsylvania. Just yesterday Aleks told him that the police went to his old house and found blood on the floor of Eddie's bedroom. Because of this, they've begun to think that the Aleks they're looking for is guilty for whatever happened to Eddie.

There's a search team looking for Eddie too. They don't even know that they're looking for a dead man. Aleks shredded three pillows when he said that they were accusing him for Eddie's absence. He screamed and screamed, some of the sounds words and others just primal rage. Ze had to sedate him to get him to calm down. It's been six hours since that incident. He can't have much longer under the serum.
