“Where's Immortal?”

“Can you show Immortal?”

“Why hasn't Immortal uploaded anything today?”

“Is Immortal dead?”

Eddie is trying to keep a straight face as he reads through the chat. He meant to try specify that he doesn't want to talk about Aleks, but he never bothered to say that to his Homies. He thought it would be good for him to answer some questions about Aleks to deal with the whole seperation thing, but he can't bring himself to answer one question.

“Sly, where's Immortal?”

“Immortal where are you?”

“Sly, do you know where Immortal is?”

“He's my roommate, not my boyfriend.”, Eddie grits out harshly to the stream viewers, “It's not my fucking job to know where Aleks is.”

He regrets it as soon as it leaves his mouth. He's never rough with his Homies. He can be dead honest with them and he can be serious with them, but he's never lashed out to them. He knows better than that. He knows that some of them don't come from the best situations and hardly need one more person giving them shit. He's horrible. How could he-

“If you're just here to ask about ImmortalHD, then I suggest you leave because you're not getting any answers here.”, one of Eddie's mods intervenes in the chat. The questions slow down for a second as if considering the mod's comment.

“Thank you, Jeremy.”, Eddie mutters as the chat switches to a subject that isn't Aleks. There's a slight dip in views as people close out the stream, but the chat continues on. There's one comment, however, one comment that catches Eddie's eye before the subject of Aleks is dropped completely.

“Maybe Immortalfox broke up and that's why Sly doesn't want to talk about it.”

It cuts him deep, deeper than this faceless Twitch viewer probably knows. That's basically the situation even though him and Aleks were never truly in a relationship. It sure feels like a break up and Eddie knows all about those through out his life of failed relationships and friendships. He tries not to let it get him down to much, but now that he's lost his best friend...

“I'm really sorry, Homies, but I just don't feel up to streaming today. Maybe another time.”, he nearly whimpers out the phrase and that bugs the ever living fuck out of him because he's the one who is supposed to be strong for them. If he's not strong for his Homies then who will be? “I think the rest of the guys are about to put a stream on though, so you guys can watch that. I'm so sorry.”, his eyes flit to the wave of comments begging him not to go and that they're sorry for asking about Aleks, but he can't really blame them. He can really only blame himself.

He turns off his webcam and closes out the Smite game that was long abandoned. That's it, he's alone ago. The stream is over and he's all alone. In retrospect, maybe he shouldn't have done a facecam so at least he could have had some privacy about his facial expressions and thoughts and crap like that, but it was one of the many mistakes he's made this week. He sighs to himself as he imagines how the gif makers on Tumblr will make of his behaviour this stream.
