sean promised he'd come back from tour.

he promised for me to be the first person to see him when he came back.

he promised to bring me souvenirs when he came back.

he promised to stay with me through the tough times when he came back.

he promised to make me laugh when he came back.

he promised to have a future with me when he came back.

he promised to stay safe and have fun.

he promised to still love me forever.

he promised take me on a special date that he had already planned for when he came back.

he promised to not betray me and go out with someone.

he promised me that i was his one and only and no one could replace me.

he promised to come back to me.

but he never did.

we were only 15 but we had a really strong relationship that no one could break.

everyone thought we would would get married.

i thought we would too and he said that we would have a future together but i guess my hopes went too high.

his tour was only for two years, which is really short but still a great opportunity.

he didn't want to go at first but i told him to.

it was really hard and we decided to break up but he said that the minute he comes back we would get back together and he would still hold on to me and never let go.

i guess he gave up.

not just on me but on us.

on the last concert which was in new york, sean met someone.

a girl.

they got really close.

he liked her.

and she liked him.

he posted pictures of her on instagram and i would leave myself for her too.

she was gorgeous.

a trait that i will never have.

when they supposedly came back from tour, i haven't heard a single word from sean.

until i heard a knok on the door that day.

flashback:

*knok knok*

i opened the door to reveal a nervous sean biting his fingers.

"sean!" i wrap my arms around his necks but he doesn't hug back.

"sean? why didn't you hug back what's wrong?"

"can we talk? please?"

"of course"

we sat down on my couch.

i got closer to him but he would just move away making me feel worried.

"what's wrong."

there was a short silence until i heard three words that i didn't expect to come out of his mouth.

"i met someone."

my heart was shattered into a million pieces.

"i decided to move to new york and live with her a-and i love her."

"get out."

he had a shocked expression written all over his face.

"w-what?"

"did i stutter? i said get out."

anger filled my whole body.

"w-why? what did i do wrong."

i scoff at him.

"what did you do wrong? did you really just say that? you think i want to hear you talk about the new love of your life infront of my face? you promised sean! but now the only thing laying here is broken promises!" my voice cracked.

"y/n i-im so sorry—"

"no i don't give two fucks about who you met! take all of you excuses and shove it up your ass cause i don't want to hear it!"

i broke down on the floor, sobbing. sean kneeled down and put his hand on my back.

"y/n please forgive me—"

i pushed his hand away.

"don't touch me."

he looked like he was about to cry.

"i've been sitting over here like a dog waiting two years for your ass to come back excited to see what was the next step for me and you! i stayed loyal to you and didn't hook up with anyone and declined anyone who had asked me out because i thought you would be back but you broke our promises and stabbed me in the back sean!"

i threw the promise ring he had given me at him.

"i understand that we weren't dating but you still promised because you loved me but now i know that you don't now get out of here. i don't need you anymore."

end of flashback.

it's been a year now.

i really thought we would get married someday.

i blocked him from any social media.

but now here i lay in my bed with a huge space
on the right side that was reserved for sean.

i still love him but he broke the promises.
