CHAPTER 6
It was dark and only the light from the moon shined down from her window that sat above her bed as Sandra then turned to her side with her back turned away from Skyler who looked puzzled at the moon's rays and then sighed as she felt a great deal of fear fall over her. She couldn't help , but feel totally worried about the card readings she had received that evening. The cards high priestess and lovers kept crawling back into her mind like a small worm looking from a place to stay and live in. She disliked what was going to be her life once she left to L.A. Things were never this tough until her mother got the news of getting a promotion in the fashion industry and working full time one a movie set as a costume designer.
She then sat up on her bed and looked down at her moon amulet seemed to glow and radiance with the moon rays as it touched Skyler and the amulet. Skyler admired the colors exposed from the lights. The lights of pinks, green and blues bounced off her skins as she then looked back at the moon and sighed as her fear slowly slipped away.
Suddenly the sound of shuffling and creep of the bed made her jerk her head to were Sandra sat. She rubbed her eyes as she looked at Skyler with a tried expression. She yawned and then said,
“What's wrong you can't sleep?”
Sandra yawned again as Skyler smiled and said,
“Yea, I was just thinking. I'll go back to sleep I promise.”
Sandra then looked closely at Skyler and shrugged. She then placed her arms around Skyler and placed her chin on her shoulder.
“I'm sure what the cards said mean nothing. I believe you make your own future.”
“Yea, but that's what bothers me. What if I make my future just like what the cards said without me knowing it. What if I'm falling for a trap.”
Sandra shook her head and said,
“I'm sure you'll find a way. Besides you over came many obstacles before, what makes this one different.”
Skyler then had a concerned look and then looked up at the moon and said,
“I don't know what it is, but I'm sure that what ever comes I'm not going to be able to turn my back on it. This one is going to be big, bigger than you can imagine.”
Sandra sighed as she then laid back to bed and said,
“That's your tiredness talking. Get some rest I'm sure you'll think differently in the morning.”
“I hope your right.” said Skyler who looked back at the moon and then laid back to bed next to Sandra.
That morning Skyler found herself alone in her bed wearing a plain party girl t-shirt and sweat pants. She gently and slowly got out of bed where she then found Sandra siting on Skyler's empty white dresser combing her short dark curly hair. Skyler then sat on her bed rubbing her tired eyes as Sandra then turns to face her and says,
