CHAPTER 18

Sandra sat still on the counter of the smoothie bar stirring her smoothie with her straw as Skyler came back from the bathroom that was just around the corner of the bar. She pulled up the the stool beside Sandra and sat. Skyler was now wearing a pair of Sandra's daisy duke shorts and a 49ers tank top. She then handed Sandra her sweatpants and sweatshirt. Sandra took the sweatpants and secretly put then on as Skyler looked around to make sure no one was looking.

“You do know you could have gone to the bathroom.”

“And miss Sam coming back. No thanks.” said Sandra as she then sat next to Skyler with her sweatpants and her bikini top on.

“I don't see what the big deal is. He seems normal enough to me. Nothing to special about him, at least.” said Skyler looking over at Sam who was placing milk and fruit into a blender.

Sandra then pinched her as Skyler then abruptly turned around to look at Sandra with a caution look as she rubbed her arm,

“Owe! What was that for.”

sandra then pointed to the entrance of the bar as a boy with short black hair that was perfectly pat from the front walked up to the counter of the bar next to Sam. Sam smiled as the boy shook his hand as if they knew each other for years.

“He must be the friend Sam was talking about.”

Skyler looked from the boy then to Sandra. Skyler then sighed as she noticed Sam then leave to the back of the bar. He was gone for a few minutes and returned wearing a white v-neck t-shirt and cargo khaki shorts. He also had on a tight shell necklace that made Skyler suddenly think he was a big surfer. Maybe he was yet she never really liked making assumptions about people.

Suddenly Sandra nudged Skyler to look up as she then noticed Sam and the other boy walk up to them. Sandra's face began to radiant as Sam walked closer. She smiled flirtatiously as she then stood pulling Skyler up next to her. Skyler who was still drinking her smoothie stood up next to Sandra with the straw in her mouth. Sam then made the boy next to him step a little closer to them and said,

“Dave this is Sandra and Skyler. They're new to L.A.”

“Nice to meet you, I'm Dave.” said the boy as he handed his hand out to Skyler who looked from his hand to his face.

She noticed his beautiful brown eyes ans smiled. She then took his hand and shook it. He then handed it to sandra who also shook it.

“So, where to ladies?” said Dave as he smiled at Skyler.

She looked up at him, but really couldn't smile back as she wished to. Something about his features reminded her to much of John.

“Hollywood!” said Sandra with excitement catching Skyler by surprise.

“What do you say Sky?”

Skyler looked at Sandra and nodded.
