CHAPTER 24

Skyler stood in the front steps of the school as she waited for Sandra who stood in front of the entrance building talking to Sam. Skyler adjusted her messenger bag on her shoulder and tapped her foot impatiently for Sandra to hurry. The sun was slowly falling and the air seemed to be thin again and fresh.

She looked up at Sandra who hugged Sam goodbye and ran down the cement steps toward Skyler.

“Hurry!” she yelled at Sandra who tied her sweater around her waist.

“Why are you such in a hurry?”

“I need to talk to Vitcus and Jasmine.”

“What for?” said Sandra as Skyler sighed and said,

“It's for something important.”

Sandra shrugged and said,

“Okay, but I want a smoothie.”

“Alright. We'll go get a smoothie after I'm done talking with Vitcus and Jasmine, now lets go.” said Skyler as she then pulled on Sandra's hand and began to walk down the block of the school.

The truth was that she wanted to get away from the school as quickly as possible. She had a strange feeling that someone was following her and that she was afraid to leave Sandra behind.

As they were far enough away from the school Skyler slowed down and looked behind her and only saw Sandra with a concerned look on her face.

“Are you okay Sky. You've acting really strangely this whole day.”

Skyler looked away from Sandra to the traffic that laid on her right. Skyler then thought to herself if maybe it would be safer to tell Sandra the truth for her to be better protected and aware the dangers lucking around Skyler. She then looked back at Sandra with a serious eyes. She then grabbed Sandra's hand again and began to walk down the streets of Hollywood.

The large sidewalks where filled with tourist with cameras, baseball caps and large vibrant signs. Skyler felt a large deal of relief sweep over her as the more people around her the more secure she felt her follower would stop following her. She pulled Sandra closer to her and turned around and saw a shadow run pass a group of tourist. Now she was certain someone was following her.

She then whispered to Sandra,

“What are you thinking Sandra?”

“Thinking? That's a strange question to ask.”

“I'm serious what is it!” said Skyler nervously.

“Well um I was thinking about-”

The shadow passed by again. This time it was closer. Skyler then pulled Sandra down the crowd in deep so she would see if the shadow would try to creep up to them.
