CHAPTER 22

It was large, too large in her opinion. It was colored beige and green. It looked more like a college than a high school thats for sure. She stood overwhelmed by its tremendous size and its incredible studies. She had thought several things about it, but never imagined herself to attend such a school like Hollywood High. She then turned to face her mother who sat next to her in the driver's seat. She turned to face her and smiled,

“Don't get overwhelmed. You'll fit perfectly well here.”

Skyler looked out her window and thought for a moment, big or not she had a feeling she wasn't going to be safe. She looked down at her amulet and wondered what she was going to find in the school and the rest of her days now living in L.A. She held on to the door handle of the passenger’s side door and pulled it opened. She then climbed out of the car and stared at the large green letters that read Hollywood High. Why did she have to attend such a big school? Her last one wasn't even half as big as this one. She heard another door slam as she then turned around and found her mother slowly walking up to her.

“You don't seem so excited. Why?”

“Mom, look at this place, it feels like only snobs and rich kids go to! It's to big and . . . and- uhgrr I don't know, I just have a feeling I'm not going to like it that's all.”

“Oh Sky. That's how things first feel, remember when I told you we had to move here. You weren't all hyped up and excited, but you gave it time and now look, you actually enjoy it here.”

“Yea we'll I have my excuses!” said Skyler crossing her arms in front of her chest and rolling her eyes away from her as she then said in her mind,

Like John lying, and breaking my heart.

“Well, whatever those excuses where they have to move, because you are attending this school and that's final.”

Skyler then jerked her head to face her mother and gave her an outrageous are you serious type of look.

“But mom your not getting me, I-” she began to say as she then suddenly felt a dark presence approaching her direction.

“What was that Skyler?” said her mother as Skyler placed her finger over her lips and looked away from her mother to the side walk.

She could spot at least three people walking her direction. Two male and one female. One of the presence seemed familiar, she had felt it before somewhere. Last night? She was certain it was the same one from the night before. She wasn't going to left her guard down this time.

“Sky?” her mother called out again as she then took an step forward waiting for their attack. Yet what she didn't understand was why wasn't the presence as repulsing and veil like last night at Late Night.

Skyler stood her ground as she felt the air around thicken by the pressure of her mind expanding to the radiation of the place. Her eyes stood out by the brightness of her green eyes and the dilation of the them. Whoever was walking her direction could feel the sensation her her energy building up inside her. She just her mother didn't notice her strange look and her actions.
