CHAPTER 20

Skyler looked all around her and noticed the sun had just finish setting. She then looked to her side and noticed Sandra sitting up looking at Skyler in total awe and astonishment. Skyler the looked away from her as she tried hard not to notice her face. Sandra then gave Skyler a glare as if she was both upset and angry. She then looked down at her hands and said,

“What did you do?!”

Skyler felt the words as blades, sharp blades that were piercing through her flesh without hesitation. This was the last thing she wanted, to see her best friend look at her with such astonishment and fear. She just wanted to lay there curled up in a ball and forget the whole day. Forget the actions she took today, all she wanted now was to be normal and live her life like before, before her destiny.

“What did you DO!” yelled out Sandra as Skyler then placed her hands close to her chest and touched her amulet lightly with her fingers.

Sandra then stood up with a numb feeling in her legs. She held her position up as she tried to regain the feeling of her legs. She stood over Skyler as Skyler closed her eyes and wished for Sandra to leave. Sandra then fell down beside Skyler with her head buried in her hair.

“I'm not judging you, I'm simply asking a question. Sky-” said Sandra as she reach her hand toward Skyler and as she slightly touched Skyler, she jerked away from her ans sat just a few feet away from Sandra.

Tears began to fill Skyler's eyes blurring her vision of Sandra. She then looked away from her as then a small breeze hit the lawn like a smooth caressing hand. Vitcus and Jasmine stood behind Skyler as Sandra looked surprised to see them.

“Ugh- Vitcus, Jasmine.” said Sandra as she then looked back at Skyler who keep her glace at the ground.

Vitcus then bent down to Skyler as she whispered something into his ear that made Sandra stand with instinct. Vitcus then looked back at Sandra and stood as well. He then walked up to her as she stepped back a few feet, but then stopped as he took a hold of her arm. She looked into his eyes and noticed them dilated. Vitcus then pulled her closer toward him and made her stare into his eyes.

Before anyone knew it Sandra then passed out. She fell into Vitcus's arms as he then turned around to face Skyler who then stood with the help of Jasmine.

“You certain this is what you wanted?” asked Vitcus as Skyler whipped the tears away from her eyes and nodded.

“It was the only choice I had. I don't want her involved, it'll be to painful.” Jasmine then looked down at Skyler as Vitcus then sighed and said,

“I'll take her home. In the meanwhile stay here until I return. We have to talk.”

Skyler nodded as Vitcus then picked up Sandra in his arms and began to walk away down the block of her house and suddenly vanished with the ocean breeze.

Skyler entered her room and noticed all her furniture in place. Her bed sat perfectly in front of her balcony of the opposite direction of it pinned to the wall. Her dresser was placed next to the end of her bed close to the door of her room and computer desk beside her bed. Skyler then looked back down the hall of her room to find her mother, but only Jasmine stood behind her.
