They were both extremely hungry. Luckily, the pair found hoodies to cover their hair.
The both walked into town with their hoodies up and found an apple dumpling stand. They didn't know each other were there. They were just planning on buying food with the little money they had. They waited in line.
Once the dumplings were bought, they both headed for the woods. Skyler went through the Village, while Maxon went around. The Village wasn't very big.
They were both amazed at how good this tasted. They hadn't had anything this good in a long time. They were not exactly playing attention.
Skyler ran into a boy about her age. "I'm so sorry!" She and the boy said at the same time.
Once they looked up at each other, they both glared. "You..." They both hissed.
"What are you doing here?" Maxon asked harshly.
"Food, what else?" She replied.
They both turned and started to go their opposite ways, not noticing that the zippers of their jackets had caught in each other.
The momentum of them walking opposite directions slightly threw them back.
"Watch where you are walking!" They both yelled.
The villagers around them all gasped. That was when thy realized that their hoodies had come off, and his blonde hair and her red hair were now visible.
They quickly unhooked themselves and ran to the woods.
"Why are you always in my way!?" Skyler snapped at Maxon, glaring at him as they ran.
"I'm in YOUR way!? I should say the same to you!" He said harshly.
"Well, obviously something wants us together." Skyler said as they slowly came to a stop. They were pretty sue they lost the villagers. They were fast runners.
"No." Maxon said without giving it a second thought. He certainly didn't like that idea.
"Fine!" She snapped.
They went to go their own ways until Maxon heard something crack.
