Maxon quickly turned. Appwarantly, they hadn't lost all the villagers. Some were cutting the tree next to them down! He didn't know how he had missed that. It had to have been when he and Skyler were arguing.
Before he could do much thinking, the tree stared falling.
Using his quickly relefexes, he pushed Skyler out of the way of the falling tree. They both fall to the ground, with Maxon on top of Skyler.
The second they hit the ground, the tree crashed down next to them.
"You're welcome." He said harshly.
"Get off!" She snapped as she pushed him off.
He glared at her, and her at him. They both turned and looked at the base of the tree. The villagers were still standing there, with the look of fear across their faces.
The two quickly got up and were about to run until they saw gaurds running at them. The pair ran as fast as they could in the other direction. The gaurds started shooting.
As he ran, Maxon used his telekinetic abilities to stop the bullets before they hit them. He then used his manipulation abilities to morph the gaurd's guns into a metal ball. The guns were now unusable. He had made sure to do all of this in secrecy so Skyler and the gaurds wouldn't see it. It would be bad if the people now thought "the offspring of demons" had some magical powers.
Maxon and Skyler jumped in a tree and started climbing. They jumped from branch to branch, tree to tree.
"Follow me." Skyler said as they jumped.
"Why would I follow you?" He snapped.
"Just do it!" She demanded.
Maxon glared and followed. He followed her for about five more minutes. They finally arrived at their destination.
