Skylar instantly turned red and looked down. She had never known anyone to love her. She had always been been shunned and hated.

Maxon gently lifted her head and looked in her eyes. "You have beautiful eyes." He said softly. He wasn't used to feeling this way towards anyone, nor was he used to speaking so softly and kindly to someone.

Just when she thought she couldn't get redder, Skylar blushed even more. It was silent for a long time, and Maxon was getting nervous.

"I'm sorry..." He said. "Did you not mean...?"

"No..." She cut him off. "I did.. I just..." She paused.

"Am I making you uncomfortable?" Maxon asked. That really wasn't his intention.

"No...." She said quietly. "I have just never heard anyone tell me that before.."

He smiled. "Then everyone who has ever met you has had no brain." He said as he put a strand of her hair back behind her ear.

She smiled and gave a small chuckle. After that, it became quiet again. A few minutes passed and Maxon finally spoke.

"I'll be right back." He said and ran back inside.

Skylar stood there for about five minutes, just thinking until he came back.

"Sorry, I haven't been here in a while and I'm still getting used to the place, so it took me a while to find it." Maxon said somewhat nervously.

         Skylar was confused. "Find what?"

Maxon hesitated. He was trembling inside, even though he looked like his normal self on the outside. After a few seconds of nothing, Maxon bent down on one knee and pulled something out of his pocket. He opened a small, box lined with velcro. Inside it was a beautiful diamond ring.

"Skylar.." He said quietly. "Will you merry me?"
