All Alone

Chapter 17

       "I don't care." Jack snapped, harsh-fully glaring at Rosie. "She can't be trusted."

       "She is just scared, thats all." Skylar said firmly.

       "You are going to put us all in danger because you trust some girl whom you've never met and have talked to for two minutes?" He asked coldly.

       "She is joining, whether you like it or not." Maxon snapped.

        Jack glared at Maxon and walked over to Rosie. "You do anything..." He emphasized the word 'anything'. "...that I find suspicious, I'll kill you." He snapped. "You better not try anything." He said and he walked away. He sat down and started sharpening arrows that he pulled out of his boots. (Jack was an archer with incredible aim)

      "Don't worry about him. I'm sure he will warm up to you in time. It took forever for him to like me.." Skylar said. 

      "Tell me about it." Bella added.

      "So, you said you could slow the time, but you said that wasn't your only power?" Skylar asked.

        Rosie was hesitant to speak.

      "Its alright. We have powers to. I can heal and control electricity, Maxon can move and morph objects, and Jack can turn into dragons..." She paused and turned to Bella. "Do you have any powers?"

         Bella smiled. "Yeah." She turned to Rosie. "I can read minds and control the wind." 

        Rosie was surprised everyone here was like her.

      "I can slow time, shoot ice, shoot fire, morph things, and control the gravity." Rosie finally said.

     "That's really cool." The two girls said.

     "Thanks." Rosie replied. She looked over at Jack, who was sitting on a rock doing something with his head. "I'm going to talk to him." She said and walked over.

       When she got there, Jack was cleaning the head wound he had gotten from running into the rock.
