Skylar talked with Bella, and Jack talked with Maxon. Of course, the boys had no interest in conversation, but they did, only because they knew that Bella would get irritated.
Jack and Bella were also rejects because of thier hair color.
Jack had almost white blonde hair, blue eyes, and pale skin.

Finally Bella and Skylar walked over to the boys.
"So, any ideas about where we should go. I think we are much stronger together." Bella asked, eyeing Jack.
Skylar and Maxon were not the only ones with unique abilities. Jack had the incredible ability to turn into any dragon (from How to Train You Dragon) imaginable. Bella was able to read minds and control the wind.
There was a little bit of lack of communication about the magic thing though. You see: Bella knew Jack and Maxon had powers. Jack knew Bella and Skylar had powers. Maxon knew Bella and Skylar had powers. Skylar knew Maxon and Jack had powers. So, as you can see, there is going to be surprise if anyone ever uses their abilities.
"I know a place." Maxon mumbled.
Everyone looked at him. "Well...?" Jack said in his naturally harsh voice.
Maxon glared at him and spoke. "There is a clearing in the forest. It has great vantage points and would be excellent for defense and attack."
Everyone liked his idea. Well, everyone but Jack of course. He thought a moment, thinking of everything that could go wrong. He finally agreed and they headed out.
