All Alone

Chapter 28

          Mia still hesitated. 

        "Just do it!" Alex ordered.

         Mia puts her hands on Skylar's temples. The group backed away. A few moments pass and a lightning strike comes down and hits Skylar. (It's charge didn't spread to Mia because she was the one controlling it at the moment)

         Alex waited a few minutes before coming back over to feel her pulse. It was pulsating again. "Her heart is beating again!" He said happily. "Great job!" He said to Mia.

         "What's going on?" Jack asked Bella slightly worried. He had just finished cleaning the deer he killed. 

         "She went into shock and stopped breathing..." She explained. 

         "Alex came at the perfect time and had the right idea. Mia made Skylar shock herself to restart her heart, and it worked." Rosie finished.

         They all started cooking the meet Jack had brought and ate it. While they did that, Alex continued to look at Skylar and keep her stable.

        Silence broke out.

       "I'm scared..." Mia finally said.

       "Me too." Rosie said and came to hug her.

        Bella walked over to Maxon (Who was still unconscious) to check to see how he was doing.

       "Rosie, come here." Alex called. Rosie walked over to see what he needed.

       "Yeah?"

       "Rosie?" Skylar slowly opens her eyes as Alex helps her sit up.

       "Skylar! You're okay!" Rosie ran to hug her.

       "Rosie, gentle. She just got up." Alex said.

        She backed away.

       "Where am I? What happened?" Skylar asked quietly.

      "You are back at camp." Rosie said gently. "You were taken by the king, Maxon's father."

       "His what!?" Skylar exclaimed. Everyone came rushing over to her.

       "Skylar, you're awake!" Mia said with excitement,

        Jack was surprised she was alive. He thought for sure she would die.

       "Hi guys." She smiled and gave little wave. She looked around for Maxon. "Where's Buttox?"

       "Who?" Thomas asked.

       "She meant Maxon." Jack finally said.

        Rosie looked at Bella. "Skylar... when we came to get you, Maxon went to find the king..." Bella told her.

        Skylar knew what that meant. "He's dead?" She teared up a bit.

       "No, just shot and unconscious." Rosie hugged her. Soon, everyone joined in. Well, everyone but Jack.

        Skylar slowly stood up. "Show him to me." She told everyone. 

       Bella guided her to him. Once she sees him, Skylar rushes to his side. She puts her hands on him and heals the bullet wound. Soon after, Maxon started to wake up.
